Amazon announced Tuesday it's raising the minimum wage for all U.S. employees to $15, effective next month. The new minimum wage will benefit more than 250,000Amazon employees — including part-time and temporary employees — as well as another 100,000 seasonal employees, the company said.

One advantage to Amazon's tuition plan is it pays students upfront. ... Amazon will pay up to $3,000 per year for four years, or $12,000 total.

Seems well above average to me. I applied for a call center job a couple of years ago that paid 10 an hour. Almost 20 dollars an hour is manager pay where I live. So amazon folks are doing quite well. The lowest person on the totem pole will make over 30G's a year. That's a nice living wage. Plus paid tuition for college? Can't beat that with a stick.

there are numerous first-person articles floating around the Internet where Amazon employees complain about having to work hard, consistently, and without pee breaks. And yet, they have NO TROUBLE filling positions because for everyone who goes to work there ,IT IS THE BEST OPTION FOR THEM AT THE TIME. Clearly, most Leftists have NEVER HAD A RESPONSIBLE, REAL JOB IN THEIR LIVES, so they really don't know what to make of Amazon jobs. Work? Are you kidding me?

None of the Western European governments portrayed over here as "socialist" or "social democracies" is a SOCIALIST country. They are countries that became quite prosperous through a combination of economic freedom and a wonderful post-WWII work ethic. Certain aspects of socialism were grafted onto their capitalist economies, and it has been a matter of how much can these economies tolerate before collapsing under the weight of the Safety Net? They are not doing well, which is why their political leaders are forcing them to accept millions of refugees from culturally antithetical societies, in the hope that they will work hard and become productive citizens, paying the taxes that the Safety Net requires.
