Asshole. speaking only for myself of course. Just because I don't believe in demonizing the wealthy, or stealing from the wealthy doesn't mean I support the wealthy. Make your own damn way in life and quit trying to grab for yourself what others have earned. You would be the coward and a jack ass to boot.

You have to wonder why a poster who calls himself "middle class" doesn't understand the middle class. Maybe he is middle class in Siberia. Don't the lefties understand that the government doesn't create jobs or stimulate the economy? The middle class people that democrats call the "rich" if they own a business and gross more than $250,000 per year are the targets of left wing socialists who want the whole Country to be a dismal society where no one dares to succeed.

1. The glaring error in your post is the underlying idea that there is a 'rich' class in this nation.
No such class exists in an ongoing basis...merely as a snapshot in time.

We do get something out of it. we get a chance to join them. Or a chance for our children to join them. At any rate, we understand fairness and responsibility. I'm not in the top 1% because of choices I made in life. I accept that and I've done alright even though I'm not at that level.

Most conservatives advocate policies that have the best chance for growing the economy and creating the most jobs. Such policies also allow the rich guys to make more money, that's the way that free market capitalism works. And most of us are very resistant to increased gov't spending when the policies have already been shown to not work. Adding the debt any more than necessary an antithetical to us.

So here's my questions to those of you on the left:

1. Do you really think our problems are over if we raise taxes on the top 1%?

2. How can you in good conscience advocate policies that only increase the debt that our children will have to deal with?

What a coincidence...I myself am an astute American, I hope, and I fully agree that every one of us has the opportunity to attain whatsoever level we work for. I can't imagine what would have made you think otherwise. Having said that.....If you want to champion the cause of the extremely wealthy...because you might be so someday...that is actually a good reason to do so. I'm having a hard time believing that the people who vote Republican and are not part of the top 1% share the same reason.
