Perry says no to a Chris Christie type hug and handshake with Obama at the airport. Good for him. Now this guy is oval office material...Thank you Governor Perry...:eusa_clap:

Perry’s refusal to play along with a cute bipartisan White House photo op — in which an effective Republican governor would have had to greet an ineffective globe-trotting Democratic president like some kind of emasculated butler — at least showed some cojones.

Actually, Perry demonstrated that he doesn't have the material to be sitting in the White House. It was immature behavior, rather sophomoric if you ask me. Being president of the most powerful country in the world requires dignity and humbleness.
True "O" certainly lacks humbleness but I doubt he's pan someone who he disagrees with in such a setting.

Acting petulant is now required to be a "real" Conservative. This isn't the slightest bit surprising.

And of course, letting the world see that spoiled child arrogance; Gov. Perry cannot control the borders of his state, he'll be lost trying to protect the USA.

:itsok: There there my good liberals. Everything will be ok. Your man got snubbed by a better man today. Check out the economic numbers of Texas. Texas looks like America use to look before we elected Obama. With opportunity and good paying jobs and a booming housing market. Hey! all of you out of work building contractor's and sub contractors...There is work in the Lone Star State....Leave the recession plagued Blue State socialistic Utopian nightmare when you have had enough and move to a red state if you want to advance economically. Or stay in Detroit and refuse to pay your water bill.

I doubt these three are conservatives, but is this petulant?

WASHINGTON — The biggest name in the Democratic Party plans to speak Wednesday at Denver's Cheesman Park, but President Barack Obama won't be sharing the stage with three Colorado Democrats now in the fight of their political careers.

Missing from the morning event — which is closed to the public but open to the media — will be U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, Gov. John Hickenlooper and Andrew Romanoff, the former state House speaker now running for a seat in Congress.

It is a Federal responsibility to protect the borders. That is why we have several federal agencies that are involved that are supposed to control illegal immigration. States do not have a BORDER PATROL, only the feds do. I suggest that a President Perry would close the borders. It is obvious to the most casual observer that the present President is not interested in doing it.

You'd have a point if Obama were visiting Texas for some valid Presidential purpose.

He's not. He's there on a FUND RAISING Expedition, and isn't even planning to visit the humanitarian crisis he manufactured on the border. It's perfectly reasonable for Perry to not condone Obama's malfeasance.

I was actually responding more to the "Conservative" response to Perry not meeting Obama, not the act itself.

I will repeat for your comment.

I think you're not understanding my point.

Perry's reasons for not meeting Obama are not petulant.
The fact that he'd have been "Christie-ized" by the Right Wing Noise Machine if he had is petulant.

Let me know the last time a lefty became a "DINO" for shaking Bush's hand.

Whatever! It looks like it worked.

President Barack Obama has accepted an invitation from Texas Governor Rick Perry yesterday to meet for a 'substantive' discussion about illegal immigration when the president comes to Texas tomorrow.

Now, if they could shame the POS into visiting a holding pen on the border.
