Thanks, Mr. Krugman, that’s very helpful. While inflation may be out of control on food, energy, and shelter, those are unnecessary discretionary expenditures. If people will just forego extravagances such as feeding their families, trying to keep from freezing to death and putting a roof over their children’s heads, they’ll do just fine in Biden’s economy.

It's a hard balance because there are so few known good tools for dealing with inflation apart from rate increases .
But these themselves also contribute to inflation .

Perhaps you need a major war , or two , to deceive the Sheeple to accept war rhetoric and consequent deprivations and these will act as the brake to curb inflation .
As usual, the system will doubtless deceive and manipulate the Gullibles , whichever end of the political spectrum you are part of .

Obama, Pelosi and Schumer's greedy looting spree spending screwed over everyone with high inflation.
But they don't care.
They treat the taxpayers like they are their slaves.
I guess the $trillion dollar$ looting spree helped the worthless Democrat Moocher Voters.

In all seriousness, how is it possible anyone still listens to a single word this educated idiot says?
The first 400 times he has been wrong isn't enough apparently.
Paul "Wrong in the ten trillions column, 'by 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet's impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's'" Krugman

Least we forget his ‘the market will crash tomorrow because Trump won’ tweet. Only to have a record spike in the market the next day.
