You forgot to mention "getting wined and dined by tons of lawyers all willing to prove the US government was the guilty party"
then there's the book and movie deal. then you get to network with your terrorist buddies, and plan more terror attacks after the chumps let you go for lack of evidence, or mistreatment by those hateful Navy Seals.
