Pakistan Hands Down First-Ever Death Sentence For Blaspheming On Facebook
A Pakistani counter-terrorism court just handed down the first death penalty for blaspheming on social media on Sunday, according to Reuters. The ruling is the latest step in an intensifying crackdown on dissent on social media by the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Oh maybe the ANTIFA group can rally for this to be done in America, they'd support it you know because America is such a communist nation , oh wait they're trying to make us a communist enslaved nation that's right.

While I don't personally like it... The law is the law. Just like having kiddie porn on your computer in the US is a crime for which one can, and will be punished; so too are violations of law via computer, in Pakistan. I don't really see anything shocking here...

Religion idiocy...

I don't fucking support this shit and no they aint trying to make America communist....They're just respecting the first amendment stupid protections of religion and standing up for people that are different...We on the left all hate bullshit religious trash.

Just because it is law doesn't make it right.

If it were here, it still wouldn't be right just because it is law. the puppets manage to get laws passed that only benefit them and controll the population.

Again just because some idiot politician makes a law doesn't mean it is right .

Good for Pakistan!!.......

Will you say that when someone accuses you of saying the wrong thing, or doing the wrong thing. This is where it starts.
Then it spider webs into other issues, speech etc and now someone is hung because they say the love Trump and not Obama, or they hate Clinton etc.

While I can empathize with your point... There are numerous laws here in the US that I disagree with, but which I am none the less obliged to respect, tolerate, and obey. Abortion for instance... That's but one example. Any governance needs laws. And laws must be obeyed.

Black democrats would disagree with you en masse.

You know, if you had actually read the OP link, you would have seen that while this is the first time it has been applied to the internet, there are many people who are already sitting on death row for blasphemy against the prophet. Not only can you be put to death for outright blasphemy, but you can also be jailed just for starting a vague rumor.

This is simply an extension of Sharia law that Pakistan is now applying to the internet.

No spider webbing here, it was already illegal to blaspheme the prophet. This is the first time however that it has been caught on Facebook. Usually they are caught by people hearing them and turning them in.

What a great proponent of universal human rights you are.
