You are the one who claimed that debt per capita is $189,000 and I corrected you. If you don't like being corrected, then you should clarify who you are counting in the first place.

At this point in time, debt per capita is roughly the same as gdp per capita. Now, if you only want to count the US labor force, then that is total debt divided by 154 million (i.e. the current size of the US labor force), which is roughly $99,400.

Because spending stimulate the economy. Any spending. Cut spending and programs for the poor and the poor will take what you have by force. IF borrowing is necessary to stimulate the economy, then borrow. then worry about paying it back with the revenue on stimulating. WE civilians borrow all the time when we use credit cards, etc. Americans are at fault themselves if thats the case.
