It is very likely that the Pashtuns are the people called Pishachi in the Vedas. There are at least two coincidences here. Firstly, there is an identity in the name, and secondly, there is a territorial coincidence. The main area of the Pashtuns is located in the region of Pakistan, in the mountainous areas, it is just adjacent to the
Rigvedic Rivers Valley(Arya Varta).
Now they border directly on the Sindhi peoples and the Punjabis, who belong to the Indo-Aryans. Everything is the same here.

It is believed that these are the Pactians, in the territory of Arachosia. I think they are one and the same people.

But in any case, modern Afghanistan is not their historical land.

They claim to be descended from the Tribe of Benjamin.. Israel backs that claim.

The Afghan Royal family (exiled in 1973) also claim to trace their roots to the Tribe of Benjamin. The Pashtun, the main Afghan ethnic group and Taliban supporters, also believe they are descended from the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel, and later converted to Islam.

Now it is difficult to understand what these "tribes" are and whether they ever existed, all this is based solely on biblical mythology and has no confirmation either in other myths of peoples or in science.
I think that the comparison with the Pishachas and Pactians looks much more realistic, taking into account the geographical factor.

So it doesn't matter what they say about themselves or their rituals, you know better. Are you 20 yet?

The "real" Jews also developed this culture relatively recently. Old Judaism has nothing to do with it.

By the way, if we assume that the Pashtuns laid the foundation for Brahmanism in India, then these rituals just coincide with the Jewish rituals of the period of the temples.
