Only 10% of March For Our Lives protesters were under 18

Makes sense to me! The whole goal of the kids is to get the adults off their lazy bums, and do something!!!!

why would you think otherwise?

Did you think their rally in DC was a kids only event?

Hell no!

it was billed as "kids showing the adults what to do" and yet the numbers show that turnout was less than expected with less kids than expected.

Plus your typical lefty "every socialist cause under the kitchen sink" morons showed up as well.
marty, who thought there would be an estimated 800k people at the mall event in DC? There were talks of 150000 or so....

10% of 800k is 80,000 kids.... that would have been around 50% of the original estimate....

power of the internet and the kids, brought out many more adults than thought....

And that is awesome and great for the kids.... it's adults that can vote now, not two or three years from now, when many become 18.

Much like the protests against Vietnam, it is the youth that changes the adult's minds and complacency. Yes, these are high school kids vs college kids....but the power of the internet and digital technology and social media is strong with them....especially at their young age.....

Adult groups are riding on the Kid's coat tails, not the other way around...

it was nowhere near 800k.

Virginia-based Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc., which uses aerial photos to calculate crowd sizes, reported the event’s peak crowd size was at 202,796 people around 1 p.m., CBS News reported. The firm said the number's margin of error is 15 percent.

Did Students Actually "March for Our Lives?"

Only an estimated 10% were under 18!

10%? Where did all the others come from? Are we seeing "professional protesters" now? There are reports of ads offering $$$$ to those who wanted to participate. And, of course The Lame Street Media will do their best to bury this.

"Contrary to what's been reported in many media accounts, the D.C. March for Our Lives crowd was not primarily made up of teenagers," Fisher wrote. "Only about 10 percent of the participants were under 18."

"The average age of the adults in the crowd was just under 49 years old, which is older than participants at the other marches I've surveyed but similar to the age of the average participant at the Million Moms March in 2000, which was also about gun control," she continued.

They were American voters. Be very afraid.

200,000 vs millions of gun owners. Why be afraid?

Why does anyone think that the only people who care about gun control all got on the bus and went to D.C. for the March? No one saw it on tv, right?
I think some people are trying to console themselves. Diss on David Hogg and tell yourselves there are only a few people who really care about this issue.
LOL

Yet libs, Dims, the MSM wanted us all to believe this was all about the kids organizing and participating in the event.
This study claims different.

Here’s who actually attended the March for Our Lives. (No, it wasn’t mostly young people.)

In the days before and after more than two million Americans participated in the March for Our Lives, the gun-violence conversation has focused on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas survivors and their “student movement.”

The school shooting in Parkland, Fla., and the passion of the teenage survivors have become a catalyst for the current movement. With the help of some well-resourced benefactors, including Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney, the survivors organized an extraordinary rally in D.C. and sister marches around the country in a mere six weeks.

However, the young faces of the advocates have created an assumption that “youth” and “students” are the core of the movement. My research tells a different story about who participated in the March for Our Lives — and it is more complicated and less well-packaged for prime time.

That makes it even sadder that adults who should know better were actually marching to beg the government to take away their rights

Why does anyone think that the only people who care about gun control all got on the bus and went to D.C. for the March?
I don't think anyone really said that or believes that. I think 30℅ of voters want to abolish the RIGHT of Self Defense.

I'm hoping our side will be motivated by the children's March to turn out and vote.
