One billionaire or 1,000 millionaires?

It's charming to observe you gloating about what you'd like to do with money that someone else earned. How beautifully liberal!

Perhaps it's because we have to pay those salaries, you fucking moron.

No, your ass-holiness. I am pointing out that a million dollars is not chump change, except maybe to the Romney rich.

No one ever claimed it was chump change, moron.

You don't have a problem with paying corporate execs their bloated salaries at the expense of workers, you stupid douche-bag.

I don't pay the salaries of corporate executives, asshole. However, I do pay the salaries of teachers and firemen - at gunpoint. If a corporation wants to pay their executives more than they're worth, that's their business. The market will determine whether that decision was a wise one.

The person I originally responded to said that a million dollars was "nothing".

You pay execs their salaries by buying their company's products.

Screw Buffet. He spent the first 80 years of his life playing the game. Now that he's got one foot in the grave and his income structure is totally different he changes his tune. He wouldn't even be impacted by any changes.

Which is better for America's consumer driven economy, one billionaire or 1,000 millionaires?

What can politician's do to stop the redistribution of wealth?

Warren Buffett: “I don’t pay hardly any payroll taxes. Governor Romney hardly pays any payroll taxes, Newt Gingrich hardly pays any payroll taxes. Debbie pays lots of payroll taxes. And the American public does but they haven’t really understood that what goes to the American government is a combination of the two, payroll taxes and income taxes. And there are figures that show that the people in the $10-20 thousand bracket are paying as much in the combination of payroll and income taxes as the ultra rich.”

.

If one man becomes a billionaire how many millionaires does he leave in his wake?

How many millionaires exist today because of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc?

I will bet it's more than 1000

I find it hilarious the left is worshipping at the feet of a billionaire..

don't think Buffet doesn't have a ulterior motive and what's scary is how Obama is embracing the words of this man..

1) Buffet is a con-man and he has a ton of people snowed
2) IT IS NOT FUCKING GOVERNMENT'S JOB IN A FREE SOCIETY TO EQUALIZE OUTCOME... you have the freedom to succeed that goes hand in hand with the freedom to fail

Funny that.

The Dock Workers threatened to strike just recently..and the major retailers, you know, the billionaires, were begging, hat in hand..for the government to intervene.

As they always do.

As they always will.

Right before complaining about to much government.

It escapes you, swallow, that it is only because of too much government that the retailers can be held hostage by unionized thugs instead of laughing in their faces and opting for alternative low-skilled workers to unload their cargo.

Basically, SniperFag, you swallowing my jiz will always escape you because, I ain't no fag, like yourself.

And why is it, you conservative fags always troll for straight guys? And in the most vulgar ways?

Why don't you stick to what you know, faggot? Trolling Dock Worker bathrooms.

Why?

Buffett is as entitled to his opinion as any other super mega wealthy rich guy.

I just don't want his opinion to outweigh the opinions about about 300 billion other Americans.

Which it does.

Thanks to conservative policies.

Some of your taxes go to pay for their products.

Who is making police cars?
Who's operating system is on government computers?
Who's making American Weapon systems?

All that is private companies getting fat on the public dole.

So your in agreement of ending the revolving door between the Government and the Big Wall Street Banks?

Should they be making it on their own and have the freedom to fail?

Income Redistribution is the war cry of Socialists and Communists. Doesn't work very well does it.? Everyone in this country has the freedom to make as much money as they desire.
However, it takes a strong work ethic, sacrifice, taking risks, a college education and/or self education.

Those who do not possess these qualities end up settling for less and blame everyone but themselves for their short comings.

I came from a blue color family got a College Education and had a good career. I never hit six figures.

I have good friend who came from the same place. He didn't go to college. He became a self made millionaire.

I never be grudged any one who did much better than me.

Our Forefathers were well aware of the harm income redistribution created.

No it doesn't. Not in all cases. And in MOST cases the things you listed won't assure that you will become a millionaire.

MOST million and billionaires in this country..are born into it.

By the way..the only type of government that doesn't practice some form of socialism..is anarchy.

Somalia is almost there.

That's exactly how it works.

And you can't really believe that anyone who has a net worth of a million dollars got it via government intervention can you?

Well you probably can.

10,000 people became millionaires working at Microsoft. Bill Gates' secretary is a millionaire.

The private companies don't force anyone to buy their products. Government does force you to pay a teachers salary. End of story.

Of course it is. You're spouting Marxist "economics," if it can rightly be called that.

Who do you think buys the millions of cars that GM and Ford produce? Who buys the millions of cell phones that Motorola and Apple produce? Corporations don't become gigantic because only rich people are buying their products.

Warren Buffet may be a perfectly lovely man. I don't know him or what might be in his heart or what his moral center might be.

But comparing his taxes to those of his salaried secretary is disingenuous at best and intentionally misleading at worst. Almost all of Buffet's income is in the form of capital gains that currently are taxed at a lower rate than are above average wages. The fact that his secretary pays taxes at a higher rate is an indication that he pays his secretary very well. However if he paid her in a way that her income was mostly from capital gains, she would pay at the same rate he does.

What the leftist media doesn't generally report when it repeats the misleading Buffet vs secretary tax discrepancies is the difference in the forms of income and also the fact that Buffet has been involved in legal proceedings for many months to avoid having bigger taxes imposed on his business.

There's just lots of hypocrisy in the world.

But the Founders didn't care who was a billionaire or milionaire or somebody just starting out. They wanted those who made the necessary choices and put in the effort to prosper to be able to do so. And they wanted a system in which people would be allowed to keep, hold, invest, and enjoy the property they lawfully and ethically acquired. And they wanted everybody to have the freedom and ability to use their ability and amibition to acquire what they were capable of acquiring without restriction by class or government fiat. And if that resulted in everybody accomplishing prosperity and all that they desired, that was what freedom looked like to the Founders.

Buffet owes 10 million in back taxes and has fought nearly a decade to keep from paying it. He is trying to look like the nice rich guy when really he is a scummy liar.

When government 'shares' our prosperity with others, it looks suspiciously like coercion or totalitarianism or, to put it in the simplest terms, theft by government.

And while Americans are hands down the most generous of all the world's people, and give the most proportionately and voluntarily to the less fortunate in direct assistance or for the benefit of all (hospital wings, museum exhibits, works of art, etc.), the Founders never intended that prosperity was something we could require to be shared. The Founders intended that we be a free people with each person having complete power and choice of how he would use his prosperity and property short of violating the rights of others.

When the government can take whatever it wants of our property and prosperity to use for whatever it wants to do with it, we have no freedom and no rights at all.
