It is opening ones eyes to the fact that the system as it is currently set up is not working properly...so making the necessary adjujstments to enable the system to work. It may not be as GOOD a system from an entiotlement standpoint...but a "not so good" working system is always better than a "better" non working system.

No, geek, not at all. Marriage in the eyes of the Law is about its tax implications, its a legal status which doesn't need "Sex" of the participants involved at all. It's an irrelevant non factor except in the eyes of the folks who think that because society has legal gay marriages, they can't take responsibility and effectively still teach their own morals to their own kids.

So, you can fundamentally alter the definition of marriage without changing, but not the way an entitlement program works. Got it.

I didnt say that you cant change the program (entitlement? we pay into it).

Second, how many FUCKING times do we have to explain to liberal DOUCHE BAGS that any of Ryan's plans do not effect the current crop of seniors from SS to medicare! Do you collection fuckhead just not listen or too big of assholes that you rather slander a good man instead of facing the truth?

Third, the budget is getting busted primarily by 4 items. Medicare and Medicaid (which are the largest), SS (which is second), defense budget (3rd) and other entitlements or the so-called safety net (4th). Most honest conservatives will agree defense needs to be cut down. HOWEVER, without things being don't to SS and MC/MC and other entitlement cutting defense won't do a thing! Liberal douche bags demagogue and outright LIE when anyone talks about SS, MC/MC or other entitlement reform or even about the need to reform them. Yet as a country we are going further and further in debt. At some point, which is very close, we will go the way of Greece, Italy, Spain, Portogul etc, but we won't have the EU to bail us out and China isn't going to do it!

Extending it 8 years is a short term solution and gets us nowhere. Likewise, it includes the slashing of payments to helathcare providers....and when a hospital starts getting smaller reimbursements, they will be turning to the government to supplement their revenue...so in the end, it will be no net gain.

Obama’s long-term plan to save Medicare, approved under the Affordable Care Act, is to set up a panel of 15 Senate-confirmed experts tasked with issuing proposals to rein in the growth of spending if it exceeds a certain level. The Independent Payment Advisory Board, or IPAB, may only propose cuts to providers, not beneficiaries. Congress may replace the cuts by passing its own or with a three-fifths super-majority.

Interesting...but do you not notice there is no mention of HOW these experts will will rein in spending if it exceeds a certain level...nor does it specify the "certain level"...so it is an idea...not a set plan....an idea set into law with no specifics.

No one doubts that the Ryan plan will end up costing the seniors.....but with all those over 55 granbdfathered in...it will give all those under 55 time to prepare. It will be toughest for folks like me (I am 54) becuase we have the least amount of time to prepare.....but for the amjority....those not born yet through those that are 40 and younger...they will have plenty of time to prepare. Sadly...someone needs to take the hit...and its the 45-54 yerar olds.....

Back off. I never gave the thumbs up on trhis guy being arrested. To the contrary, my comment was more about how our politicians need to realize that their game of spin and lies may work for them, but it creates fear and panic in the people they serve.

As for the guy getting arrested....only a fool would think he was arrested for speaking out. My guess is he did something out of the room to the people escorting him out.

I personally resented the fact that he was escorted out. He had a right to be there and a right to speak his mind.

The guy shouldn't have been mocked. He should have just been reminded that Obama is already taking it away, so it doesn't matter what Ryan thinks. Romney and Ryan don't agree on this issue so Ryan's opinion doesn't mean squat.
