As you might know there are plenty of oil resources in the Arctic Region and Greenland. It was reported many times, so if you need a proof you can easily find it on the web. But I want to talk about one serious problem – who and how will divide the resources? Well, the highlighted region had become a new battlefield where many opponents will collide to become the main or even the only owner of that natural wealth.
America is the most powerful country in the world, so there can’t be any doubts that it will try to get those resources at any cost, like it did previously (just remember the great search of chemical weapon), so Greenland will be an apple of discord between Denmark and America because Greenland is a door to the Arctic Region. You have oil then you will face America constantly chasing it even if it has no right to get a drop of black gold. It means that Greenland will be under heavy pressure on the part of the White House no matter of Denmark. If you don’t agree with America consider yourself under heavy carpet bombing – political and quite real. America has enough bombs for Greenland, Denmark and the rest of the world. Bombs are the key to all doors. And everything is about black oily slush out of which America won’t last too long...
Anyway everyone in Greenland and Denmark is very alarmed about the US’s intensions to get our oil and America should know that we won’t give our wealth on its demand.

Herre's a thought...perhaps we ought to leave some for generations to follow?

    Nah!

What have future generations ever done for us?

Greenland. What a misnomer! When the explorers saw it they thought the tree lined shores was just the beginning of a forest. But I guess if "there is oil in dem thar hills" then it will turn green, like greenbacks. Of course by that time our money might not be green as many times as they have changed the currency lately. Can you see pink dollar bills!!! :)

US has no rights except off Alaska and what stretches into the Artic ocean. A miniscule piece of land. Russia has the biggest claim.

If oil was our only source of energy, maybe.

Synthetic oil is a lubricant consisting of chemical compounds which are artificially made (synthesized). Synthetic lubricants can be manufactured using chemically modified petroleum components rather than whole crude oil, but can also be synthesized from other raw materials. Synthetic oil is used as a substitute for lubricant refined from petroleum when operating in extremes of temperature, because it generally provides superior mechanical and chemical properties than those found in traditional mineral oils. Aircraft turbines, for example, require the use of synthetic oils, whereas aircraft piston engines don't.
