The statue is in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Belgium, and was made by an artist called Tom Frantzen.

What's with the helmet? Is that a cop?

from the 1800s? Capes, pith helmets ?

If one is going to make "art" that is going to be taking up space and getting in the way on a sidewalk then why not make one where the subjects look like their from the same century we live in?

My favorite stuff, street photography / sculpture, still carry my Leica but digital is starting to tempt me. Any Gary Wingrand fans? One of my favorites. While I like the woods I can never imagine moving far from the life in the big cities. Life exists there in all forms.

Or Diane Arbus fans? Photographer: Diane Arbus

All you need is a leica with 50mm. Henri Cartier Bresson, sculpture with a camera.
