Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann hammered former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell at yesterday’s Intelligence Committee hearing as you’ll see in the video:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnOnfHRwi5k&feature=player_embedded]Bachmann Challenges Former Acting CIA Director on Benghazi - YouTube[/ame]

Bachmann’s analysis of Morell’s testimony in an exclusive follow up interview with WND is even better:

. . . Bachmann said former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell could be repaid for his efforts by being named head of the CIA if Clinton is elected president.

XXXXX

“She couldn’t have a better person to take the fall for her because Morell was involved in rewriting the talking points and was the No. 2 at CIA. So, he can come in authoritatively say, ‘No, that’s not the story. The story is the fake story we tried to push.’”

Bachmann explained to WND that Morell is taking the fall by pointing at underlings and saying he relied on analysts. That way, “he can preserve his status, so, if Hillary becomes the next president, he can safely become the next director of the CIA. That’s what this is all about.”

“They don’t care about Obama now,” she said. “The more important thing is making sure it preserves the way for Hillary, because Democrats can’t afford to be exposed for what they are: failures on foreign policy, defense and intelligence. We have never had a bigger failure than under the Obama administration in any of those areas.”

XXXXX

“So, they’re essentially buying out Morell,” Bachmann said. “The cover story matches the Obama story. And all Morell has to do is point to the wrong view of the underlings and say, ‘Well, I was relying on what they told me. The president was relying on his analysts. Hillary Clinton relied on the analysts.’”

WND asked Bachmann: Is it conceivable that by Sept. 25 the CIA still believed the attack began as a protest over the video?

“Utterly impossible,” she said. “By that time, we had the information from all of the people on the ground.”

Bachmann said there was not a shred of information supporting that conclusion, and by then the U.S. had captured the closed-circuit television footage.

“Nothing pointed to a protest on the ground. Nothing,” she said. “The only ones pushing the protest narrative were Obama and Hillary Clinton.”

“Now, its about preserving the chance for Hillary to get elected. And the only way they can do that is absolve her from any responsibility. And so Morell, who is now in Hillary’s think tank, probably being paid very well, is in cold storage for one reason and one reason only, and that’s to take the fall for Hillary Clinton and clean up any dirt from Obama.”

So, WND asked, by the time the president addressed the U.N., the CIA knew the video and the protest narrative was unquestionably wrong, correct?

She said that was beyond question, and, as a matter of fact, “The State Department put out two cables during the assault that it was a terrorist attack by the al-Qaida affiliated group Ansar al-sharia.”

Did it say anything to her that the CIA apparently did not try to stop the president from continuing to push the false narrative?

“It says to me that Morell clearly took the fall today for the president and for Hillary Clinton.”

Bachmann: CIA bigwig taking fall for Clinton

Morell verified something I knew way back at the height of the Cold War. Never let Democrats come anywhere near an intelligence agency. Today, they have control of the entire intelligence community. If you doubt me ask yourself where Mike Morell’s loyalty will reside if he ever does become CIA Director? Answer: Right now the Clintons owe him one, as CIA director he will owe the Clintons personal loyalty along with loyalty to their global agenda. No small thing when you’re talking about the CIA’s resources and expertise.

Parenthetically, the CIA operates outside the US and away from the watchful eye of domestic intelligence agencies. A CIA director loyal to the Clintons ties in nicely with Jamie Gorelick’s Memo.

My guess is that fewer than 10 people know who issued the order to the US military to stand down while the attack in Benghazi was in progress. Neither Congress nor the media seem interested in learning who gave the order. Compiling a short list of suspects is the best the Internet can do. Hillary Clinton and Valerie Jarrett are neck and neck at the top of my list with Leon Panetta, and Martin Dempsey running a whisker behind the fillies.

If truth be told, I lean toward Clinton because she losses the most; however, I don’t want to see any congressional committee proving it until after she hopefully gets her party’s nomination in 2016. I know it’s a gamble because nothing sticks to that woman. She’s the only person I know of where the worst lies you can say about her improves her image.

If then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did issue the order to stand down that might be the one that finally resonates with voters if Congress releases the proof at the right time. There is a better chance of that happening after Democrats lose the Senate. Impaneling a select committee would be foolish while Harry Reid runs the Senate. Impartial, bipartisan, truth, mean nothing to that man.

Finally, remember that al-Qaeda’s attack in Benghazi frightened Democrats into executing the dumbest, most inept, cover up imaginable 6 weeks before the presidential election in 2012. How stupid was the Administration to send Suzy Five Shows out there to say things that a 10 year old could disprove in a minute? Sad to say it worked because Barack Taqiyya got a second term. Nevertheless, just think how terrified Hillary’s people must be of a 2016 October Surprise that nails her for issuing the stand down order. No cover up will work on that one. No media whitewash, or blackout, will give her a first term.

So why is anybody surprised?

The White House has launched an investigation into the disclosure Sunday of the name of the CIA’s top official in Afghanistan.

Chief of staff Denis McDonough has asked the newly installed White House counsel, Neil Eggleston, to trace how the name came out, and to make recommendations “on how the administration can improve processes and make sure something like this does not happen again,” national security council spokesperson Caitlin Hayden said on Tuesday.

The identity of the official was revealed when the person’s name was included on a list given to reporters during a visit to Afghanistan by President Obama.

The CIA hasn't been on top of an issue since WW2. The agency is not only redundant but it has become a political arm of the democrat party.

To whitehall: I think the CIA was effective throughout the Cold War. It began to come under the control of Democrats after the Soviet Union imploded thanks to Bill Clinton.

Putting all of the country’s security eggs in one basket after 9-11-2001 gave Democrats the absolute control they were after for decades.

Parenthetically, the CIA is a casualty of J. Edgar Hoover’s long-running battle against American Communists. The creation of the Department of Homeland Security, and appointing a Director of National Intelligence, eliminated the possibility of another Hoover keeping Democrat traitors in line. That, in turn, diminished the CIA’s ability to defend this country in foreign lands when CIA activities might harm Democrat policies.

This will be small potatoes by 2016. What will be big news in 2016 is:

Jobless economic growth partly due to Ocare, partly due to new EPA regs and partly due to automation but mostly due to China, Brazil, Russia and India hitting various walls to further growth.

Technological innovation started having less real economic impact in the 90s: R&D costs increasing and defending patents and other IP getting a lot more expensive are the main culprits.

The returns on higher education started turning negative in the 1970s. This is mostly due to ever shorter product life cycles.

Hillary either won't run or get her butt beat but Benghazi will not be a major factor in 2016.

Oh yes, the Socialist Party (Democratic) has been trying to take over the CIA and military for a long time. A threat to our internal security. Watch out all you American's with your Christian beliefs, traditional values, faith in Constitutional rights...Uncle Sam is coming to get you.

At the moment, Hillary wipes the floor with any and all Republican potential nominees. They all look like clowns compared to her. No surprise then that threads like these are in full force as the right needs something to galvanize itself, even though it holds little sway over white, middle-aged moderate voters who remember the Clinton economy very fondly.

Ah, but does Hillary remember that there ever was a Clinton Economy?

What impact did Hillary have on the dot com bubble that pushed the Republican Congress economy of the 90's?

Yes her response to the disaster in Benghanzi was genius.

"what difference does it make." (eyeroll)

America won the Cold War in spite of the blunders, I shudder thinking about the things Democrats deliberately did to security in the past 7 years:
