Obama whines about fox news

I didn't hear anyone from Fox say that John McCain sends a "thrill up their leg" when he speaks like Mr. Hardball msnbc said about Obama..... :eusa_whistle:

So which network is biased ? ....

These studies show that fox news is as biased as the "leftist media."

Fox is still biased towards the right.

Your inability to comprehend doesn't change the facts.

Just because FOX leans less left than others, doesn't put them as leaning right. Thus the conclusion that they were 'Less biased.' No one expects true objectivity from a person or even a media, the question comes up with attempts towards fairness and editing... That's what's changed regarding the media, all media in the past 25 years or so. None as blatant as today's ABC with infomercial, NBC's with 'tingles' and bows, incessant excuses via NYTimes, etc.

wtf needs a study to know that Fox News leans right? Just watch it for 10 minutes. Christ people, pull your head out of your ass would ya?

Actually what was shown was that FOX was the least biased (FALSE) of the television networks, showing both sides. Due to that, they has more pro-RNC reports than the others; yet still more left leaning than right leaning. (FALSE)

Moreover, reporters on FOX were shown to be as liberal (FALSE) as reporters at the other television networks.

Annie, do you just make stuff up? These reports you speak of literally said the opposite. If anyone has a problem comprehending it's you.

A Measure of Media Bias

50=unbiased
100=left
0=right

Fox: 39.7= right leaning

Media Bias Is Real, Finds UCLA Political Scientist
By Meg Sullivan | 12/14/2005 5:36:31 PM

While the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal is conservative, the newspaper's news pages are liberal, even more liberal than The New York Times. The Drudge Report may have a right-wing reputation, but it leans left. Coverage by public television and radio is conservative compared to the rest of the mainstream media. Meanwhile, almost all major media outlets tilt to the left.

These are just a few of the surprising findings from a UCLA-led study, which is believed to be the first successful attempt at objectively quantifying bias in a range of media outlets and ranking them accordingly.

"I suspected that many media outlets would tilt to the left because surveys have shown that reporters tend to vote more Democrat than Republican," said Tim Groseclose, a UCLA political scientist and the study's lead author. "But I was surprised at just how pronounced the distinctions are."

"Overall, the major media outlets are quite moderate compared to members of Congress, but even so, there is a quantifiable and significant bias in that nearly all of them lean to the left," said co‑author Jeffrey Milyo, University of Missouri economist and public policy scholar.

The results appear in the latest issue of the Quarterly Journal of Economics, which will become available in mid-December...

Of the 20 major media outlets studied, 18 scored left of center, with CBS' "Evening News," The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times ranking second, third and fourth most liberal behind the news pages of The Wall Street Journal.

Only Fox News' "Special Report With Brit Hume" and The Washington Times scored right of the average U.S. voter.

The most centrist outlet proved to be the "NewsHour With Jim Lehrer." CNN's "NewsNight With Aaron Brown" and ABC's "Good Morning America" were a close second and third....

...The fourth most centrist outlet was "Special Report With Brit Hume" on Fox News, which often is cited by liberals as an egregious example of a right-wing outlet. While this news program proved to be right of center, the study found ABC's "World News Tonight" and NBC's "Nightly News" to be left of center. All three outlets were approximately equidistant from the center, the report found.

"If viewers spent an equal amount of time watching Fox's 'Special Report' as ABC's 'World News' and NBC's 'Nightly News,' then they would receive a nearly perfectly balanced version of the news," said Milyo, an associate professor of economics and public affairs at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Five news outlets — "NewsHour With Jim Lehrer," ABC's "Good Morning America," CNN's "NewsNight With Aaron Brown," Fox News' "Special Report With Brit Hume" and the Drudge Report — were in a statistical dead heat in the race for the most centrist news outlet. Of the print media, USA Today was the most centrist....

Almost as worthless as the study someone posted a little while back about women's happiness.

I'll always be amazed by some folk's ability to ignore the eyeball test simply because it doesn't reveal what the want to believe. And then they get sold a bill of goods by some charlatan peddling the latest scientific study. If there is one thing I know and know extremely well, it's that you can get stats to support any god damn thing you want them to support. And then some.

The fourth most centrist outlet was "Special Report With Brit Hume" on Fox News

Only Fox News' "Special Report With Brit Hume" and The Washington Times scored right of the average U.S. voter.

Reposting what I already did doesn't prove anything

I'm not going to go back and fourth with you on point after point, it's been done at least 3 times. As the self-revue by one of the researches stated, the results surprised them. They expected FOX to be way out there, it wasn't. And that was over 5 years ago, how's the MSM holding up today?

One show on Fox wasn't way out there

It was still leaning right

It wasn't the most centrist version of the news

I win you lose game over

Study was done 5 years back. Where even the right was getting frustrated with the Bush administration. Would love to see a study now, as anyone watching it for five minutes would see it is way out there to the right and full of Obama bashing.

wtf needs a study to know that Fox News leans right? Just watch it for 10 minutes. Christ people, pull your head out of your ass would ya?
"Leans right" as compared to what??

I guess you didn't see how, during the GOP primary debates, they pretty much marginalized guys like Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo, and Duncan Hunter, yet shamelessly pimped for "moderate" (read: closet liberal) goofballs like Fred Thompson, Rudy Ghouliani, and Juan McQuisling, huh??

Right.....And, apparently, mostly the most left leaning of the GOP.

leaning left and right of the average voter which according them is actually slightly left at 50.1

if you look at the reports theres a lot of BS for people who like words, but the graphs and data are at the bottom.
