President Obama pulled into a tie with Mitt Romney in 12 swing states that will play a key role in determining the 2012 election, according to the latest Purple Poll.
Obama and Romney tied at 45 percent, whereas a head-to-head matchup last month had the president trailing 43 percent to 46 percent. Obama leads Newt Gingrich 46 percent to 44 percent in the same poll.
