The NRA’s narrative about Maryland school shooting collapses

Just days after the NRA gave credit for a good guy with a gun for stopping a bad guy at the Maryland school shooting, it was revealed that the bad guy shot himself to death, while the good guy missed and only shot him in the hand..
Not long ago, Sutherland Springs, Texas, had a mass shooting at a church where 26 or 27 people were killed. The shooter was shot by a good "civilian" armed with an AR-15.
Often crimes are stopped by good people with guns. Generally it is situations involving burglaries, robberies, or home invasions, but it is armed civilians protecting themselves and their families. Even armed kids have stopped home invaders.

The ‘good guy with a gun’ myth is just that: a myth.

There is no evidence in support of the notion that private citizens carrying concealed firearms act as a ‘deterrent’ to gun crime and violence.

Citizens have the right to carry concealed firearms pursuant to lawful self-defense – not act in the capacity of ‘law enforcement’ or to otherwise ‘fight crime.’

Interestingly enough there are dozens of studies, all of which have been posted here, that prove your assertion to be not factual.

So good guys with guns don't stop violent criminals?

Yes, if you definer "good guys" as trained police and armed forces, and not math teachers and rent-a-cops.

If left up to liberals, Dimocrats, no one at any school would have a firearm except the shooter who is not going to let policies or laws stop them.

The idea that 'a good guy with a gun' can reliably save any situation is just schoolboy fantasy.
Even a competent shooter with a hand-gun would be very lucky to win a shootout against an amateur armed with an AR15. And a weekend warrior would be just as likely to kill a bystander, as the perp.

Aren't police officers good guys with guns? If what you say is true, what the hell do we need them for?
