I love Bill Maher:

Sept. 5, 2008 | New Rule: Republicans need to stop saying Barack Obama is an elitist, or looks down on rural people, and just admit you don't like him because of something he can't help, something that's a result of the way he was born. Admit it, you're not voting for him because he's smarter than you.

In her acceptance speech, Gov. Sarah Palin accused Obama of using his run for the White House as a "journey of personal discovery" -- this from the lady who just spent 10 minutes of her speech introducing her family -- Track, Trig, Bristol, Piper -- for a minute there I thought she was calling in an airstrike.

Karl Rove described Obama as "the guy at the country club with the beautiful date, holding a martini, and making snide comments about everyone who passes by." Unlike George Bush, who's the guy at the country club who makes snide comments, and then passes out. Now this characterization, of course, was something Mr. Rove just completely pulled out of his bulbous, gelatinous ass, but remember this is America, a land where people believe anything they hear. One of McCain's ads casts Obama as "the one," implying he thinks he's the Messiah. Good, maybe he can raise McCain from the dead.

*Skip*

And finally: As for "country first," you know who's putting country first? I am, by supporting Obama, because a victory this fall for the McCain-Mooseburger ticket would make my job in the next four years very, very easy.

Republicans, stop calling Obama elitist | Salon

Admit it, you're not voting for him because he's smarter than you.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm not voting for him because he's an idiot. He can't string together more than 2 words without saying "um" and "uh" 629,527 times during an interview and speech.

And we won't even get into his associations with known terrorists and other colorful people.

Then there's his complete, backwards policies that make as much sense as a Michael Moore movie.

They can't win by calling us all racists so now we are just picking on poor misunderstood Obama.

The man is a fool. His policies he has articulated are disasters waiting to happen. He will drive business out of the country and curtail new business by taxing the very people that start businesses. He wants to STEAL Oil companies money by claiming a windfall tax.

Get real, when one compares the PERCENTAGE of the supposed windfall with previous years profit, guess what? No windfall at all.

He wants to create NEW and BIGGER social programs and has no plan on how to pay for them except he will search for programs to cut, a power he does not have to begin with. Can anyone tell us the last time Congress ( the ones with the power) has cut any programs except those related to the military?

He supports the destruction of the meat industry in this country by trumpeting the Corn based ethanol program, a program that has doubled the cost of corn in a year and forced beef, pork, chicken and other meat producers to look for ways to cut their herds or flocks because they can not afford to pay for the feed anymore.

He claims he will tackle the deficit at the same time that he is proposing billions more in new social programs. Billions we ALREADY do not have.

His Vice Presidential pick is claiming Obama will try and bring charges against Bush and Cheney when they leave office. Setting the stage for a serious threat to this nation. A civil war. Open rebellion when the new Government illegally tries to fabricate charges against a former President just because Clinton got impeached in the 90's.

He is a racist. He spent 20 YEARS in a church that teaches and preaches racism. The pastor, his "family" friend, mentor and Uncle like figure that inspired him is a racist and preached racism and hatred of the country from the pulpit. And still does.

He counts as a friend 2 known terrorists and a Felon. He comes from the most corrupt political machine in the Country. He stated he would speak to our known enemies and terrorist states with NO conditions prior to the talks.

I will be voting for McCain because I ACTUALLY know what is best for this country. Obama is a threat to our Country, a dangerous socialist fool that will destroy our economy and make deals with our worst enemies all the while creating bigger Nanny Government and a bigger BIG Brother.

.

Huh? He wants to end the biggest, most wasteful and failed social program of our time, the occupation of Iraq which is costing us so many billions of dollars a month it makes peoples head spin. WTF are you talking about??

Wait is this the same Barack Obama that didn't know that Hugo Chavez was not brought into power until 1998? Or perhaps the Obama that thought there were 10,000 people dead when there were 12, or maybe even its the Barack Obama, that thought there were 57 State not including Alaska and Hawaii because he had not been there yet? Or perhaps it the Barack Obama that told a delegation in Fl. about his universal Healthcare plan and how the breathlizers will help a little child breath again? Is it that Brack Obama? Or could be the Barack Obama that wanted us to get out of Iraq quickly because we need to have have more Arabic Intrepreters in Afghanistan? Only problem there is they don't speak Arabic. See what I mean jillian? Bill Maher is hilarious at least to me he is, but to say that i'm upset because Barack Obama is smarter than most Republican , trust me I have no such issues there.

Heres a little video of all Barack Obama's more intelligent comments.

Well Bill since I know a guy who fawned over the bravery of the 9/11 hijackers obviously has the best interest of the country at heart, I'll follow your lead and vote for The Messiah

This sickly little gargoyle and his fans make me want to puke

I'm sure he has something very intelligent in store for us

Wait is this the same Barack Obama that didn't know that Hugo Chavez was not brought into power until 1998?

At least he knew who he was, unlike Bush who wouldn't know his arse from his elbow, and thought a foreign policy was some sort of insurance he needed if he stepped outside the borders of Texas...

I wouldn't start posting vids like that if I were you, especially with so, so, so many of Bush around making him look like a simpleton

The Dems could put up Kermit the Frog and they'd still have a more intelligent person in charge than the dude that's lived in the WH for the past 8 years.

It was meant to show that when Bill M. starts making blanket statements about how much smarter Barack Obama is than all Republicans, that maybe he should look in the mirror first. As for George W. Bush. I don't believe there is too much you can say to me about him that I would be insulted by to be quite honest. However, the last I checked George W. Bush was not running for president.

Lol, that was pretty good stuff, a few I had never heard before. A couple I can honestly understand though, like the Souix Falls/Souix city.

LOL, I thought it was funny, and your right about the Souix Falls/ Souix City thing. I imagine when someone is on the road 24/7 it happens quite a bit, so I can understand that.

I thought Bill was funny as hell. I mean the guy didn't have moral in his whole entire body, and I like most Republicans was not his biggest fan till 1996 when at the military funeral of a friend, he sent me a hand written note about our service, what it meant to him and the country. Sucker even got me to vote for him after that note, first demorcrat I ever voted for. Still keep it in my office above my desk .

Okay let's get real, shall we?

McCain wants to give the corporations another two trillion in tax breaks. Exxon Mobil, for example, under the McCain plan would enjoy another 1.2 billion in tax breaks in a time of record profits for that comapny

He wants to create NEW and BIGGER social programs and has no plan on how to pay for them except he will search for programs to cut, a power he does not have to begin with. What social programs would they be? Mentioning the specific programs you object to might facilitate a more productive discussion.

He supports the destruction of the meat industry in this country by trumpeting the Corn based ethanol program, a program that has doubled the cost of corn in a year and forced beef, pork, chicken and other meat producers to look for ways to cut their herds or flocks because they can not afford to pay for the feed anymore.

I'm sorry,. You have been misinfomred.

This is what O ACTULLY has said about enthanol:

SEN. OBAMA: Well, look, we, we've got a serious food problem around the world. We, we've got rising food prices here in the United States. In other countries we're seeing riots because of, because of the lack of food supplies. So this is something that we're going to have to deal with. There are a number of factors that go into this. Changes in climate are contributing. The, the fact that in a lot of countries, you know, we've had problems getting food supplies to poor countries because the wealthier countries have reduced their stockpiles in, in serious ways. And so there're a whole host of reasons why we're seeing problems with food supply. There's no doubt that biofuels may be contributing to it. And what I've said is, my top priority is making sure that people are able to get enough to eat. And if it turns out that we've got to make changes in our ethanol policy to help people get something to eat, then that's got to be the step we take.

He claims he will tackle the deficit at the same time that he is proposing billions more in new social programs. Billions we ALREADY do not have.

Again, specifically what social programs are you talking about?

His Vice Presidential pick is claiming Obama will try and bring charges against Bush and Cheney when they leave office. Setting the stage for a serious threat to this nation. A civil war. Open rebellion when the new Government illegally tries to fabricate charges against a former President just because Clinton got impeached in the 90's.

Oh really? Interesting. Here's what the record says on that subject:

WASHINGTON: Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama laid out list of political shortcomings he sees in the Bush administration but said he opposes impeachment for either President George W. Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney.

Obama said he would not back such a move, although he has been distressed by the "loose ethical standards, the secrecy and incompetence" of a "variety of characters" in the administration.

"There's a way to bring an end to those practices, you know: vote the bums out," the presidential candidate said, without naming Bush or Cheney. "That's how our system is designed."

He is a racist. He spent 20 YEARS in a church that teaches and preaches racism. The pastor, his "family" friend, mentor and Uncle like figure that inspired him is a racist and preached racism and hatred of the country from the pulpit. And still does.

He is? Have you heard this?

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_9al4IQOhk"]YouTube - Barack Obama Speech on Race (Tuesday, March 18, 2008)[/ame]

He counts as a friend 2 known terrorists and a Felon.

Who doesn't?

He comes from the most corrupt political machine in the Country.

More corrupt that Texas?

He stated he would speak to our known enemies and terrorist states with NO conditions prior to the talks.

My how you Republicans so like to take things entirely out of context to make change Obama's true intent.

Here's his position on Iran to which you are referring.

“We are willing to talk about certain assurances in the context of them showing some good faith,” he said in the interview at his campaign headquarters here. “I think it is important for us to send a signal that we are not hellbent on regime change, just for the sake of regime change, but expect changes in behavior. And there are both carrots and there are sticks available to them for those changes in behavior.”

I will be voting for McCain because I ACTUALLY know what is best for this country.

Okay, that is your ACTUAL opinion, I'll buy that.

Obama is a threat to our Country, a dangerous socialist fool that will destroy our economy and make deals with our worst enemies all the while creating bigger Nanny Government and a bigger BIG Brother.

Well given the fac that I have corrected your record on Obama's positions at least two times in this thread, I'm not convinced you ACTULLY know much about who he is or what he wants, Champ.

You make vague charges about social programs, but don't tell us what they are.

You fault him for policies that he does support, but apparently take no issue with diametically policies that McCain supports which make no sense to many of us.

YOu are wrong often, you put words in his mouth he never siad, and then you go into character assassin mode calling him a socialist and so forth.

You're of course entitled to you opinions, but you are not entitled to lie about people no matter how sincerely you believe what you believe.
