Obama stills loves the brotherhood:eusa_eh:

A senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood was recently hosted at the White House for a meeting with President Barack Obama, prompting an outcry from critics of the global Islamist organization.

Anas Altikriti, a top British lobbyist for the Muslim Brotherhood whose father heads Iraq’s Muslim Brotherhood party, recently met with the president and Vice President Joe Biden as part of a delegation discussing problems in Iraq.

Altikriti, whose work has also been tied to Hamas, can be seen smiling in photos published by the White House as he stands next to Iraqi Parliament Speaker Usama al-Nujaifi, who is pictured shaking hands with President Obama in the White House’s Roosevelt Room. The meeting was first highlighted by the blog Harry’s Place.

The Obama administration has been criticized its outreach to the Muslim Brotherhood, the international Islamist organization whose members’ brief reign in Egypt was supported by the White House.

Don't lose anything by talking. Never gonna solve problems with terrorists by dropping bombs since every one killed has several who're then honor-bound to seek vengeance.

Elevating terrorist groups to status of diplomats is not the answer.... Sorry

The Muslim Brotherhood is a legitimate political organization and deserves to be treated with respect by the White House and our beloved Pres. Obama. ..

it's only 'legitimate' because kowtowing braindead PC liberals are too stupid to recognize a sworn enemy of America...

When the terrorist group are the ones in charge, that's who you talk with. Did the same thing with the Taliban.

and where did that get us.....?

Wasn't it the Muslim Brotherhood that was responsible for the assassination of Sadat?
And supporting Hamas and other radical groups?

I confess I don't who the heck's in charge of Egypt this week. Seems to change frequently. But whoever is in charge is who we have to speak with. Simple as that. Don't have to like them, or agree with their politics or ideology, but if they're in control, they're who we have meetings with. We have these kinds of pow-wows with all sorts of people we don't like. But not talking leaves only military solutions and since that doesn't usually work, diplomacy is a prefered tactic. When diplomacy fails, as long as we tried, war becomes easier to justify to the public. But if we never bother to even try talking our way through conflicts politicians lose public support.
