You will never be promised pure air without traces of poisonous particles that may kill you upon inhilation.

We are not talking about being promised pure air. We are talking about the small government run safety nets that provide for those who may be neglected or abused by private charity. Face the fact. It does happen.

The problem is if you help those in need too much then they will depend on the social programs. What is needed is a safety net that is the bare minimum to get by in life should a life altering event occur that would render a person helpless. Otherwise, able bodied people need to fend for themselves. Its not a productive society to have people mooching off of others.
