"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, a lot of them -- like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they've gone through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, and they cling to guns, or religion, or antipathy toward people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations"
There's been a lot more gone in the last 41 months, Barry."

McARTHUR & THE BONUS ARMY & CLINTON & WACO

A realistic analysis.

What worries me is that the distrust the people have for "our two" parties
lessens the chance a new people-party will emerge
and without a new people-party
the establishment will continue to tighten its control

and with the aid of its well paid army of professional soldiers
the present establishment will sweep the entire country free of of opposition

just as McArthur swept the bonus army out of Washington
and Clinton took out Waco

and when that happens there will be no bridge between the establishment and the people

Roosevelt-Hopkins saved the country from the results of the '29 crash,
but neither Obama nor Romney
are capable of doing so--

so where does that leave us?
