I would like to know his opinion of the government provided healthcare provided by the VA whether he usues it or not.

Ya cause after all he EARNED his VA health care, it was not GIVEN to him, nor was his private insurance taken away nor threatened to be taken away, nor was he told by the VA that if he did not have the proper coverage as determined by the VA he would be "taxed" ( you know fined) because of it.

Once again you dumb ass retards, Military service is a contract that stipulates certain benefits based on service and injury. It is not a freebie nor a socialist program that gives everyone benefits. A Military member EARNS that VA medical care by his SERVICE to Country. It is part of his pay and his retirement system.

I absolutely agree that anyone who serves our country has earned healthcare benefits plus much more.
My question is an honest one of how well does the government run the VA program? It is an indication of how they can run a public program.

I feel you are also over reacting to healthcare reform. There is a way that the program would be paid for like we pay for private insurance.
The goal is to provide access to a reasoable program for all. That may be done with the private sector only but something needs to be done.

I feel one of the largest injustices of the past 10 years is the lack of benefits provided our military durring the Iraq and Afghan wars.
Military benefits were done on the cheap. There could not be a better cause to raise taxes. The previous administration was more concerned with keeping taxes down than properly funding military benefits.

We have never had a war where so few sacraficed so much while the average American did not sacrafice at all.

I live 10 miles from Pendleton, about 15 miles from MCAS Miramar, and about 35 miles from North Island and 32nd St Naval Station. My wife's business takes her to all of those bases. Everyone's just doing their job, getting by and living life, if they're not on deployment. No particular anger, no particular difference from a year ago, 2 years ago, etc. I have connections with lots of other retired "squids" and "semper fi's" in this area...some are right wing, some are like us, left wing...we all get along just fine and no one is particularly angry.


BTW...I could have sworn that there were just two threads saying that liberals were the angry ones....
