What do American children learn?
====================================
Frankly, I expected your chatter on my other branch ...It depends on the parents, just like in Russia. My children each had a subscription to an educational magazine, a library card and access to my textbooks.

It most certainly does depend on the parents. My children could read when they started kindergarten. We were not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. But my children always had books. All 3 were at the top of their reading classes in elementary school. All 3 graduated with honors. My middle child made all 'A's except for a single 'B' his junior year of high school. He graduated high school with a GPA of 4.28. In his graduating class there were 23 students with a GPA of over 4.0.
Every time I go to the public library during the summer there are always a lot of children there. That is not the ideology of the country. That is the parents.
