If you will note, since the report came out, they have more viewers than the 2 stations combined. Fox also has several commentators that are left leaning, one almost as much as Maddow.Jim,
Ruppert is a businessman and knows a right leaning TV News Source will generate him more money than adding to the left leaning TV News Networks.
Now if you removed CNN then MSNBC numbers will jump but because you have too many left leaning news sources your ratings will be down because you are fighting with other networks...
