Lying Guterres UN Secretary General attacked Israel - caught in a lie - slammed
Many outraged by António Guterres' false words about "unprecedented", and attached to the tweet a "community note" that corrects the statements and explains that the information conveyed in it is incorrect.
"UN Secretary-General Guterres took office in 2017, which is considered the deadliest year for Syrian citizens, with more than ten thousand dead. Although the war in Yemen began before Guterres took office, the number of deaths in it reached 377 thousand during his term."
One replied:
"Syria - 500,000 dead, Yemen - 377,000 dead, Afghanistan - 176,000 dead, Darfur - 300,000 dead, Iraq - 400,000 dead, Ukraine - 500,000 dead, Congo - 860,000. These are data from the United Nations, for your information."
Researcher and journalist Ksenia Svetlova:
"Omg! You literally don’t know what is happening right now in Sudan, don’t you?"
With reference to non-stop reports and testimonies about a widespread massacre of the civilian population under the auspices of the civil war in the country.
Another user wrote:
"You are a shameless liar, here are the casualty figures in the war in Syria since 2017 when you became the UN Secretary General."
Ella Kenan.. activist on social media, published the tweet and called on users to rate the community comment attached to it as "helpful". Since the beginning of the war, Guterres voiced a clear anti-Israel line, and among other things he said that the terrorist attack by Hamas "did not take place in a vacuum", and he was accused of justifying the massacre. In addition, he also said that "Gaza is turning into a children's [sic] cemetery."
