Wishing will never change reality. 2010 in a tie with 1998 and 2005 for the warmest year. 2008, La Nina, lowest solar activity in 100 years, and it ranks at least #10 in the last 150 years. Were things as they have been for the last couple of thousand years, 2008 should have been a very cold year.
Neither will falsification of data. You can whine about 2010 being the warmest year since whenever, but the simple fact remains Hansen is falsifying the temp record to make it so. That you are a willing fool who allows him to get away with it does not alter the fact that the record is beyond suspect.

As far as the race for warmest year goes, 1998 (+0.424 deg. C) barely edged out 2010 (+0.411 deg. C), but the difference (0.01 deg. C) is nowhere near statistically significant. So feel free to use or misuse those statistics to your hearts content.

According to his data the temp here and now is basically the same as 30 years ago and continuing to drop. Interesting how you didn't bother to go with the more recent data, par for the course with you clowns. Thanks for playing to form.

OK. Look at the graph. The temperature for January, 2011 is higher than most of the highs from 1979 to 1997. The 13 month running mean from from 2002 to 2007 was higher than the highest highs prior to 1998.

Dr. Spencers graph shows the speed of the warming from 1979 until present. It shows how the natural variation overlays this rise, but does not conceal it at all.
Whenever an issue enters economics the blinders go up. Economics has its supporters and lots of money, argument becomes ideology and not factual. Facts don't matter any longer, they are made up or normal. Jeremiads invade the airwaves through think tanks that don't think but present the side their money comes from. Anyone who lived through the pollution of the last century knows too well the damage humans and irresponsible corruptions can do, no on argues those disasters today. Someday we will cease arguing global warming, hopefully human life will still exist.

the warmists dont see it as falsification, just framing to put their point of view in the best light. it IS interesting that satellite data diverge from land temps but not so much from sea surface temps which are harder to 'adjust'.
I am very interested to find out why the RSS lowered the post-1999 temps down. If it had been the other way around there would have been a lot of media attention by now. oh well it will have to be explained sooner or later.
