Exactly. Stupid Libs didn't learn anything from the disastrous, wasteful and unaffordable Reagan War on Drugs (-remember Nancy Reagan carpet bombing all television markets with "You can't fly when you're high"). The result was to push harmless pot smokers to a huge black market. For three decades the tax payer has gotten a massive bill for the drug war, which hasn't dented the demand or supply of drugs. I remember thinking when Reagan proposed this vast new federal bureaucracy . . . "when is the Rightwing going to stop using the power of the centralized government to fix everything". And then of course, after the citizens of California voted to legalize medical marijuana, the Bush sent the Feds in to overturn the will of the state. Not only does the Right want total Federal control over the states, they are burning taxpayer money on a drug war that only accomplishes one thing: a more powerful Washington. This is what Republicans do best: scare Americans about terrorism and drugs in order to grow the law enforcement and surveillance powers of the federal government. Everybody knows this, save the poor, well-meaning people who have been captured by the well paid pundit machine.
