And I thought Obama was a Marxist or something. First he calls Boner and McConnel on the eve of his victory to just say "hi" and I'm ready to compromise like always. They don't answer of course. Talk about unrequited love. Sure, I voted Obama and talked others into it because republicans stink worse. We've only got 2 choices folks.
Now its the "lets do lunch" to the Mittster thing and figure out how to run the country and make government more efficient, meaning corporate friendly, much like Al Gore did when he reinvented government under Clinton.
Romney? What, no Bill Ayers or Hugo Chavez, much less a Paul Krugman who's a real economist? Obama, don't you know these tea bag freaks never liked you, never will? You could have waited a few weeks at least to go groveling and boot licking them. Maybe visited a rib joint in Watts or something to pretend you care about the people that voted overwhelmingly for you?

This won't deter the goof balls that will spend wasted hours posting about how much of a radical socialist Obama is and how he wants to destroy America.

Let’s do lunch! Romney, Obama to meet at White House

I think that the President is establishing that he is willing to listen to what the GOP has to say. Listen, then tell them what will go down.

You see, the GOP has no bargaining chips. The tax rates are going to change one way or the other. And if it is the other, the majority of Americans know where the blame lies. And 2014 is just two years away. A good ground game in 2014, and the President has both the Senate and the House to work with.

Fortunately, there is a way Republicans can escape falling into the trap: Publicly accept President Obama’s proposals in full, subject to the following conditions: First, there must be no staff midnight sessions drafting last-minute hidden hooks. Second, there must be no floor amendments by either party, simply an up or down vote on the deal. Third, the president must stand before the TV cameras and state that his party owns all of it, flanked by House and Senate Democratic leaders who say the same. Fourth, GOP House and Senate leaders declare that (a) as Obama won the election, but (b) the GOP opposes tax rate increases as bad economics, the GOP will step aside, without endorsing the package.
