A friend of mine posted this image on Facebook and I finally realized the problem with the left/democrats/progressives....they have philosophical dyslexia....

When regular people think freedom...in their minds the left/democrats/proggressive, they see it as tyranny...when, the left/democrats/progressives they think Freedom what they really mean is total control...

Did you ever see "Back To School" with Rodney Dangerfield...the scene where the uptight business teacher is trying to explain how to open a factory...and then Rodney Dangerfield...the guy who is actually a successful businessman as opposed to an academic, explains the real world end of running a business...

Well, that fits us perfectly Clayton...you are the academic, I am the guy who knows the real world...as far as the fight for the 2nd amendment goes...of course, I am also far more ruggedly handsome than Rodney Dangerfield...the example only goes so far...

A blanket statement is just plain dumb. It may be true for the extreme left and at the same time the extreme right. The first thing that extremism does is remove democracy as the first step of an extremist is to force their view on all of us. in order to make a more perfect government is a admission of the present government not being perfect.
The Bill of Rights comes to us via VA; but several items were not allowed to be in our Bill of Rights. The elimination of the items are a limitation to the Freedoms you like to talk about.
The Constitution does cover business from being responsible, you know, the thing you say the left should be. A note on responsibility:
The West and South West are having problems with water. Not everyone knows it or some just don't care. Do a web search on swimming pools.

A regular person thinks...the man who was brutally beaten and robbed is the victim...

The lefty/progressive/democrat...

The real victim is the guy who beat and robbed the guy...he is a victim of society and the real bad guy is the guy who was beaten and robbed because he had money in the first place...unlike the robber...and he didn't surrender it to the government so enlightened politicians could use it to help the guy who beat and robbed the guy with money...
