Lebanese army begins offensive against ISIL on border
Military says it is not coordinating with Syrian army regarding operations against ISIL near Ras Baalbek.
The Lebanese army says it has launched an offensive against an ISIL enclave straddling the northeast border with Syria.
The army was targeting positions of ISIL, or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, near the town of Ras Baalbek with rockets,
artillery
and helicopters, a Lebanese security source said.
It is the last part of the Lebanese-Syrian frontier under ISIL control.

US army sends Lebanon eight Bradley armored vehicles
In the presence of the Lebanese army commander representative and the American ambassador in Beirut, the Lebanese army received eight Bradley armored vehicles in a first batch of $100 million US military aid to Lebanon.
The vehicles are part of 32 others the Lebanese army is expected to receive from Washington in the coming months. This is part of a US investment, estimated at more than $100,000 which aims to supply the Lebanese army with new capabilities

What is this? Why are we paying them 100M in arms? Is this part of the 30-day Plan to defeat Isis?
Can't they die without the 100M in aid?
