I had lawn mower parents.

Once a week they'd tell me to go grab the lawnmower and mow the yard. I guess I was born a mechanic though. At 9 I helped rebuild the 5hp engine on my go-cart. I could understand the timing thing and everything about it except the carb. I just didn't understand how that thing worked but could rebuild one.

It’s a good thing. It helps cull the herd at the old life’s ladder of success by eliminating those that have no idea how to cope with real life challenges which leaves more opportunity for those raised to use their heads and learned by trial and error while growing and maturing.
