There is a possibility Kasich may not only take many of the more populated and delegate-rich Northeastern & Northmidwestern states; He may sweep some in in the west. California has a similar purplishy mature republican base as Vermont. Kasich is kind of smokin' it there. Washington state may also swing Kasich for the same reason. Oregon will probably go to Cruz or Rubio, but sometimes they talk to their rednecky bros up North to get a feel for things.

Mr. Kasich is probably smart staying in the race; especially if Cruz finally sits Rubio (and Carl Rove) down to explain why Rubio running means Trump gets the nomination..

But between Kasich and Cruz as the race goes on, the Northern states and California, the big prize, are not going to be as favorable to Captain potty mouth from fancy schmanzy New York. Those two could suck away quite a few delegates from Donald duck-face.

Discuss.

Last I saw, Kasich was within 600 votes of Trump in Vermont with about 60% of the vote in...

Nope, Kasich might drop out after losing every state in super tuesday. The question is whether Sanders can beat Hillary in the peoples republik of California.
Kasich has either almost taken or taken Vermont. And, this will be an omen that he can take the Rust Belt, New England, Great Lakes and even California if he pitches his ads just right.

He is right to stay in.

What ads do you believe he should play just right?

Ones that tap a silent majority of angry voters, naturally, like Trump has mastered. Can you think of an issue that the majority rejected but was forced on them anyway? I can...
