I find this interesting. I would have thought such a policy would be unconstitutional on its face though it seems backed by a SCOTUS ruling and stood the test for 50 years so far. I don’t like the reasoning as it is a jump to racial profiling rather than actually upholding rights essentially stating if the stops were at a rate that matches racial demographics then they would be constitutional. I find the fact that the law is NOW being challenged interesting though and wonder what kind of impact a ruling like this might have if it continues (as Bloomberg has promised he is going to appeal).
