Judge in Georgia Dismisses Three Trump Charges

ATLANTA (AP) — The judge overseeing the Georgia election interference case on Wednesday dismissed some of the charges against former President Donald Trump, but many other counts in the indictment remain.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee wrote in an order that six of the counts in the indictment must be quashed, including three against Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee

Looks like the prosecution didn't provide enough detail. Now they will refile those charges.

The lack of specificity, as to what Trump exactly did that violated what specific criminal statute are the problem with all of these indictments. That’s why I kept asking TDS folk on here “what exactly did Trump do to violate what specific criminal statute?“

None of them, zero, were able to provide an answer. The most common response? “Read the indictment!”

Now we have from a judge that reading the indictment would not have provided the answer either.

Do you think they will be re-filed, and successfully prosecuted? So what specifically did Trump tell what officials to do that telling them to do it violated what specific criminal statute?

In case you don’t know, that’s what you had to prove to convict someone of a crime.
Most all of it stems from thought or intent police. Not an actual event nor the outcome of it. All of it is the feeling that Trump must be punished for “what could have been”

The head of the prosecutor board already said he will prosecute the case, if another county DA office doesn't pick it up.
I believe the investigation will have start over from square one.....and probably move to another county, where the prosecutor will have to decide to pursue or not, based on whether it would survive appeal.

They don't need to do so. They can just refile the dismissed charges with the information they need to add.
yes, and demafascit might simply add "information" - but then it will get dismissed again, because they need evidence.

That seems to be the problem here.....dembots don't understand they actually need evidence

Not 3 but 6 charges

Defense would argue the case and evidence were tainted.
And would fail spectacularly. Because that claim doesn't actually work. They would have to demonstrate, using evidence, that evidence was withheld from the defense team, or that evidence was forged or misrepresented (lied about) to the grand juries.

You guys need to understand: Your psychobabble rhetoric may work at Four Seasons Landscaping, but it isnt worth a squirt of piss in a courtroom.

Too many issues would be linked to the Willis scandal......get real.

Then the new prosecutor has to decide if the case is worth pursuing......like can it be overturned on appeal.
