Never particularly fond of Joan's music or, to be frank, her PsOV, either, on many different social issues.

FYI, she's a Boston University drop out.

But she did one thing that I think most of us can thank her for: she discovered and then encouraged Bob Dylan.

Joan Baez was a good friend of my wives mother while she was in California in the early 60's.
We have a signed first edition copy of her first album...still in plastic (yes she signed on the plastic) along with some letters she wrote her when she went back to New York.
