Well the worse case scenario if you prepare and it never happens you will have supplies that can be used , if the power goes out you will have a resource be it food, power sources etc.

Let's see here, his "business" is based on collapse of society/disaster survivalist event preparation......... One might think he has a financial stake in this somewhere....... Not sure but it looks that way.......

Well when shit goes under guess you'll believe it then. Ever hear of the Great Depression you think they lived on easy street then. You think the poverty didn't exist.......... dud you gotta a rude awakening for thinking your precious democratic controlled Country can't go under.

I take prepping pretty seriously since I started reading 'BOYS LIFE' in the school library back in the , probably 1958 or so . Plus I have always taken the Boy Scout rule of 'Always be Prepared' seriously . So , sorry , no disrespect meant MindWars !!

Like anyone who's been through disasters, etc it's always a good idea to be prepared but there is a limit besides, if society (civilization) collapses I'm dead anyway.

even my parents were somewhat survival oriented because of where we lived and thats 55 uears ago . We could be snowed in for a week easy so the woodpile was ready , the cupboards were stocked with cans and the fuel oil tank was always filled in the winter and DAD always had shells for the double barrel 12 .

Sure it can happen anywhere but the point I'm making is the conditions need to be "right" which includes the culture's socio-political mindset. The German culture (mindset) was and is not the American culture (mindset).

Being prepared doesn't always have to mean 'society collapse' or other SHTF scenarios so common with conspiracy theorists.. It can also mean for unforeseen personal disasters as well. Job loss that turned into long term unemployment, health issues, natural disaster or any type of major shake-up to your current lifestyle can knock ya for a loop and hinder your ability to take care of your family. If you have extras put away for a rainy day, they can help get you thru until solutions come along. Also having those extras tucked away will save you that cost when money needs to be put elsewhere.

I was camping out with a few other kids . I don't worry they'll happen again, I know they'll happen again. Oh not exactly the same way or in exactly the same scenarios but it will happen again, it's inevitable and there's nothing short of wiping out the human race that will prevent it.

One thing I learned early on, no matter how well one prepares when one is in the wrong place at the wrong time then that person's number is up, doesn't mean don't prepare but the law of the random variable (probability) always rules in our existence. Given my medical and physical issues there's no way I could survive so I don't worry about it, it is what it is.
