    People keep forgetting that in '94 Republicans had actual ideas other than CLINTON IS TEH EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There is a big difference between 1994 and 2006! Voters who may be disgruntled with Republicans in Congress also know that they do not want a return of the Democrat's socialist policies. Instead, I think we will see more and more pressure put on the Republicans to change course by conservatives that will result in not much change taking place in the mid-term elections.

    The conventional wisdom says that Democrats should pick up some seats in the Congress. But that wisdom has been disproved since President Bush took office. Polls may show that many voters would like to see some change in direction, but that direction is not toward socialism that the Democrat Party is more and more become associated with.
