Israeli soldier convicted of Manslaughter

This was an execution. You can't really argue otherwise regardless of which side you support.

So why was he tried for manslaughter and not murder?

Why was he standing trial at all, is the correct question.
Good question. They should have shot the soldier to death on the spot and gave him a taste of his own medicine

Who should have shot him, exactly?
Answer your own question first. Why should he not have been on trial?

He should have stayed under closed arrest for a few months, lose his military rank, expelled out of the IDF with 'mark of disgrace' and it would have been enough. Instead this all issue became a circus in a public, mini-civilian trial, when it could have been a much smaller issue.

I think it was the video going viral that created the circus, not the trial. Either way, he committed a crime and he shouldn't get a free pass. It sets a bad precedent

The only bad precedent it sets is for Palestinian stabbers to go around killing whomever they want... Any soldier trying to protect the innocent will be in danger of standing trial.

Today was a day of joy for Hamas.

Exactly my question,we are obviously dealing with people (Jews) that don't value other races lives. Course after all if you read their holy books we Goyim are nothing but cattle and fit to be slaves.

Lying on the ground either dead or dying the man was in no way a threat to ANYONE,what that IDF terrorist did was first degree murder.

Of course there is a direct comparison. The Palestinians are fighting for their country. The Jews name streets after Jewish terrorists. Just fact, you hypocrite.
A country which never existed, of course. Full stop.

OK. But I'm still trying to figure out who you say the soldier was protecting when he shot someone to death who was laying on the ground? At that point, it didn't look like anyone needed any protecting.

I wonder what the reaction would be if an American police officer executed a suspect on the spot with no trial?

An Israeli soldier filmed shooting dead a wounded Palestinian attacker after he had been disarmed of a knife has been convicted of manslaughter.

Sgt Elor Azaria, 20, shot Abdul Fatah al-Sharif, 21, in the head while he was lying immobile on a road.

Sickening to see an Iranian wishing death on a racial brother of theirs. He was no more an ISIS member than I am.

Ha ha ha...so according to Odorous, Arab Muslims and their "holy book" are the ones that value other people's lives. :cuckoo:

Must be the new meds he's taking.

Oh but they do encourage terrorism and are great at naming streets after terrorists. Excuses are like assholes...

Because of what the law says, and in this case it was a spur of the moment thing. If he had went out that day to deliberately kill an arab then it would have been murder

Care to provide credible evidence that the victim was in fact an "arab zombie terrorist isis supporter"?

Yes, to Zionists, war crimes are "small issues" when committed by fellow Zionists, but if a firecracker rocket lands in the desert, it's an "attempted genocide of the Jewish people!!!"

The man was not innocent, he came to kill and got killed, that is why it shouldn't have been a big deal.
