Litre of the Band
Well, the people (arabs) living there at the time, had just as much rights as the people (zionists) migrating to that area. You can't move into an area and automatically have more rights than the people already living there. The fact remains, arabs owned 90% of the land in that area, which, through the use of violence, intimidation and terrorism, went down to 30%.Because The Arabs attacked Israel when it was formed. The land was never Arab land to begin with. It was run by the Brits and before that for 500 years the Ottomans. As a result of this attack on Israel, refugees where created. These same refugees sided with The Arabs in their effort to destroy Israel, even though Israel offered them a different choice. There are about two million Arabs living in Israel with full Israeli rights that made that choice. Funny thing is there was no such thing as a " Palestinian Arab" until the mid sixtees.
And Israeli-arabs are treated as second-class citizens in Israel.
Although Palestinian citizens of Israel are entitled to vote and participate in Israeli political life, and several Palestinians are members of the Knesset (the Israeli parliament), they do not receive the same treatment as the Jewish citizens at the hands of the government. Israel still applies 20 laws that privilege Jews over Arabs.
