ISIS on the Run! Retakes Palmyra

Dec 12, 2016:

ISIS militants used a break in the US-led coalition’s advance against them to launch offensive in Palmyra, while counting on the fact that Russia will not conduct airstrikes on residential areas, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The setback shows that terrorists should not be given the opportunity to regroup.

A new ISIS attack on Palmyra from the Mosul region could be ‘orchestrated’ to divert the attention of Syrian government forces from Aleppo and spare the militants entrenched in the city, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

The fact that ISIS militants launched their offensive on Palmyra from Iraq and “apparently from Mosul” and marched through the “territories patrolled by the aircraft of the US-led coalition makes one think that – and I really hope to be wrong here - that it was orchestrated and coordinated to give a respite to those thugs, who are entrenched in eastern Aleppo,” the foreign minister said

Lavrov went on to say that the US has been conducting a two-faced policy towards terrorist groups in Syria from the very beginning of the Syrian crisis. The US-led coalition is fighting Islamic State but is studiously avoiding targeting another terrorist group, which is Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front, he said.

In April Russians recaptured Palmyra, but Western Media preferred not to notice that.

The biggest military defeat that Isis has suffered in more than two years. The recapture of Palmyra. And we are silent. Yes, folks, the bad guys won, didn't they? Otherwise, we would all be celebrating, wouldn't we?

It cost a life of a 25 y.o. Russian officer Alexander Prokhorenko.

And a few days ago:
The House passed a defense bill last week that included language giving the incoming Trump administration the authority to send shoulder-fired antiaircraft missiles to rebel groups fighting in Syria.
Congress just gave Trump the authority to send surface-to-air missiles to Syrian fighters
Looks like they badly want to help moderate and not moderate terrorists in ME.

When attacked isis caves and slips aside to show up somewhere else.

Isis was retaking Palmyra at the very same time there was crowing about driving them out of Aleppo.

While the west is hand wringing and pearl clutching over Syria, isis is growing and stretching itself over Europe and the US with the full cooperation of all these western leaders.

No ISIS in Aleppo but moderate ISIS. No longer, by the way.
