Isis (Islamic State) released a new video last night featuring three jihadists from Germany, France and the UK.

Entitled Wait. We are also Waiting, the film was shot in the Syrian town of Dabiq. It shows each of the militantslambasting their former homeland and goading the West to send troops to fight Islamic State.

The British jihadist'snom de guerre is Abu Abdullah al-Britani.

Al-Britani is 20 years old and of Eritrean origin. He grew up in London and converted to Islam from Christianity. It is thought he has been fighting in Syria since December 2013.

Speaking in the video, Al-Britani threatens the West, dismissing it as "puppets and apostates".

You can't call him Christian if he converted to Islam. He is no longer a Christian. The title implies that he has some link to Christianity. Just why is the author trying to link this to Christianity? So much stupid in that article. A complete failure in reasoning.

Who is blaming his becoming a terrorist on Christianity? Many Christians in Europe have converted to Islam and have become terrorists as a result.

I say this because of the man who beheaded a woman in Oklahoma. We had quite a few here on this board trying to call him a Christian, not a Muslim. He was also a Christian convert as well. He also tried to force his cohorts to convert to Islam. The fact the article points out his Christianity at all seems to me like they are trying to link his behavior to Christianity.

Call me paranoid if you want, but I somehow take offense to it. Yes, he converted, but he no longer needs to be a "Christian convert" he could simply be referred to as "Radical Islamist" or a "Jihadi" or "ISIS terrorist." There is no need in my mind to point out from what religion he converted from.
