Read about how the Black Hills were taken away- the Treaty was ignored and finally just done away with, although, for a bit, the Army did make a feeble attempt to keep settlers from going there- the Black Hills were sacred to the Sioux people- but, since they weren't christian, sacred, held no meaning to the Manifest Destiny crowd- nary a one believed the all men are created equal- only a few exercised it- too few I will add-

History is written by the victors and the victors own the moral high ground. Union general Sherman hanged Southern Americans and burned barns and towns and the City of Atlanta during the Civil War and pop culture historians consider him a hero. American Indians were abused and victimized well up to WW2 but now they are scalping the White Man's wallet in tax free gambling casinos. What goes around comes around.
