Is our justice system now gone because of Trump?

.

I'll start by saying it's okay we disagree on things ...
And thanks for toning it down a notch so we can have a conversation.

No human being has zero biases ... It's human nature ... And completely unavoidable ... But that's another topic.
So, it would be better if you suggested that you try not to let your biases totally influence your decision-making process.

Unlike you, I have voted in every election possible since reaching the appropriate age ...
Munis one or two when overseas with other stuff on my mind ...
And probably twice in local stuff when I wasn't even aware that the polls were open.

Some candidates I have voted for have lost ... And many more have won ... But my 'politics' has never won.
As a Classical Liberal with a great appreciation for our Constitution and the limits it is intended to put on governmental power ...
There's rarely a candidate on either side of the aisle, or in the middle, that represents what I desire, and think is proper.
Like or not ... The last true Conservative to serve in the White House was President Coolidge ...
And that was well before either one of us was born.

I have a degree in Psychology although I never hung a shingle or practiced ...
I was prior military and disenfranchised by where that industry was headed.
We don't need to talk about good or evil as it relates to human nature ... I already know.

I don't look at things the same way you do ... Like when you mentioned 'you run or hang on for dear life'.
I am the polar opposite ... I seek out challenges ... Occasionally embrace risks ... And enjoy the 'climb' as much as getting there.
Likewise ... What I was doing when I was 20 ... Wouldn't have been allowed when you were 20 ... Just for perspective.
We come from different worlds ... And I am close to half your age.

You can say President Trump is evil ... And I can go as far as saying he is not the pillar of virtue.
You can say President Trump is incompetent ... Yet he is President, and you are not ... Which kind of trumps your judgement there.
It's true the President can have a significant effect on the lives of many People ... But that goes for any President.
I hadn't been particularly impressed by many ... And prefer limited government over expanding the power of the Federal Government.

Don't be mistaken ... My eyes are open, and my course is clear.
Maybe, unfortunately for you and the people you care about ... Your life is tied too close to the government and what it can provide.
No matter what President Trump does ... The same as with President Biden who I despised (which is another topic) ...
My course will remain true, and I will survive him like I have many others.

I don't need to change your beliefs ... I am not your keeper.
I would suggest that you are a terrible litigator ... And it probably wouldn't be a good Idea to start practicing law at your age.
President Trump is not good for me personally as a benefit to my position in life or personal desires ... I can handle that myself.
President Trump is beneficial to me politically, because he can damage the Establishment ...
That has been holding our government hostage for almost 5 decades.

And rest assured that the rule of Law has not completely been abandoned ... It's been here longer than we have and will remain.
If politics frightens you ... If the state of our nation frightens you ... Just think about a saying I saw the other day.

"We are a ghost, wearing a meat sack, driving a skeleton, riding a rock made of stardust, hurling through space ...
Fear Nothing ..."

Thanks again ... Good luck in your endeavors ... Have a lovey evening.

In reading your post, there is one thing that stood out. You are conservative by nature and I am not.

Life has taught me many hard lessons as I have had many ups and downs. I probability got it from my father as he was very intelligent (once represented Lucky Luciano when he was a lawyer and he was the first person to import TV's to Mexico) but he was a gambler. Was rich twice and poor twice. I inherited the gambling and experienced many ups and downs myself. Having said that, I was alone when a young adult and I felt a big hole in my life As such, I started looking for people to be part of my life and I found out that to have people be part of your life, you needed to share and be part of the sharing. That led my life later on in my life. I feel that two people work better than one and a group of people accomplish more than one, when all work for the common goal.

Conservatives believe in the individual and not the group, meaning they follow a person getting to the top and they follow him and I believe in everyone getting to the top together, with each person doing what he is best at and as such (like pieces of a puzzle), when all comes together, it is a work of art.

Because of this way of thinking, I have a wife who is the love of my life and I am that to her. I have a group of friends that when we get together or work as a group, we accomplish much more than any one of us could accomplish alone.

This is a lesson I learned late in life because economically, I did it all alone.

Trump is a loner that requires followers and not partners. On top of that, he truly is mostly incompetent and as such, he will fail more often than succeed and what is horrible about that, is that his failures never get corrected because according to him, if he failed is because of someone else's fault. That means errors will never be fixed and will be compounded and get worse. This is not opinion but fact. This is one of the reasons this country is in huge problems because he will compound the problem and it will expand without any solution. It is like a drug addict that begins having problems because of his drug use and instead of fixing them, he takes more drugs to not even think of the problem. Such a person is guaranteed to die.

The Democrats are not the sharpest people around and most never have someone that is a leader but they do work as a team and when they get they do that, the results are better than what one person can do.

Here is info that proves that

So the free speech he talks about is only for him, not for all, right?

LOL, you are PROJECTING to make a narrative.

Look, if all you can do is PROJECT, then do not respond to me.

By the way, we all know your side is screwed, but hey, that is a subject for a different thread.

Garland waited a year to appoint a SP to investigate Trump, assclown. "Fake Indictments"? From a grand jury consisting of crisis actors, right fool?
Grand juries hear no defense testimony. They rely on the prosecutor(s) to be honest which they were not in these lawfare cases.

Thanks again and a lot of what you posted is true.

It's true that as a Classical Liberal I am often more Conservative than Modern Conservatives.
They too want to unite ... And empower the government to enforce their ideology.

It's also true that some people don't manage things well on their own ... But I don't deny being a rugged individualist by nature.
I also don't deny that being so comes at a cost ... I have made choices and sacrifices ... Some I regret at times ...
But I am more comfortable when I examine what the tradeoffs have resulted in after I shelve my immediate desires.

We may separate in ideology when it comes to our expectations of others.
I have friends ... And others that rely on me for different reasons ... We often work well as teams.
However ... I will blaze new territory and search for opportunities ... Some far exceed the comfort level of others.
Those risks, I take on my own initially ... And gather support as the opportunities grow and develop avenues to pursue.

You speak about President Trump's failures ... You speak about your failures.
Rest assured that I have failed at times ... But those failures didn't make me more cautious ...
They made me wise and reminded me that I am not invulnerable.

Most importantly ... When I am talking about the Law and the Federal Government as well as the Establishment ...
Look at the chart you provided ... And try to connect each of those items to the 18 Enumerated Powers
our Constitution grants the Federal Government.

Then tell me which of those items could not be better managed ...
Closer to the desires of the People at the State, Local of Individual level.
Recognize how pushing those issues to the Federal level has more to do with Power ...
And the desire to make others accommodate the wishes of People outside their State or Local districts ...
Where it's none of their damned business ... And only introduces a dependency combined with an expectation ...
That further empowers the Federal Government and opens more opportunities for corruption and abuse.

It's a whole lot easier to tell your State Representatives
that they will be back on the corner selling used cars if they don't straighten up ...
Than it is to tell a Congressional Representative from another State that doesn't represent you to take damned hike on a short pier.

Fredric Bastiat ... The Law ... Law Begets Law.
He criticized the idea that over time the law could limit government or protect personal liberties and property ...
Because eventually law is bastardized to the point that it consumes everything and dissolves individuality.

I understand you look towards the government to protect and provide for you.
I don't ... And although I respect the government in idea, and recognize its necessity ...
I think we have strayed too far from the Constitution's intention to limit the Power granted to the Federal Government.

If you doubt me ... And you are honest while looking at the things that concern you about President Trump ...
Ask yourself if it was worth trusting the idea that politicians/government would do what you think they are supposed to do ...
When you're the one who keeps putting that Power within their reach ... And in their hands to do as they please.

What is schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. People with schizophrenia have lost touch with reality.

They can't get a grip on reality .

Ohh look....

Is this another new thread dripping with TDS started by the OP?

Yes it is! :cuckoo:

Wrong. No President has ever done a purge of law enforcement like Trump is doing. It is want commies and authoritarians do: sack all those that could stand in their way.
You’re experiencing what the voters said was their top concern…freedom isn’t easy, deal with it.

As I have clearly stated many times, I am not a political person. I don't try to comment on things I have limited knowledge about. That is the job of the representatives elected by the constituents. They have the information and the job of getting the best for the people they represent.

My expertise is in evaluating people for who they are as people and their capacity, intentions desires that represent what they can do (and not do) and what drives them. Being a people person and having been a salesman for most of my life (and a good one at that), I have the ability to evaluate people. Who is intelligent, who is capable, who is corrupt, who is caring, and who is competent. Evidently and not knowing the people personally, I have to rely on their public actions, their public words, and their public demeanor, meaning that my evaluations will not be all that dependable and can be wrong. Then again, some people are more expressive and the information bigger (such as with Hegseth, RFK, Giuliani and greatly so with Trump. In those cases, my evaluation is about as good as it can be.

This is where I shine and know more than most people. I have been doing this most of my life and done it successfully. I can be considered knowledgeable in that respect.

As far as the politicians and the politics involved, I know that if a person has at least one of these four (morals, ethics, principles or humanity), the damage they can do is limited, given that having any one of those will stop them from going to the extreme and doing big and permanent damage. If they do any damage, they will be gone in 4 years and the country will recover.

Trump will do big damage, it will be long-lastng and we will not recover or if we recover it will take a long time.
