The central planning of the US housing market was an Epic Fail. Fannie and Freddie are still in business, creating a financial black hole that has sucked $140B to date and continues to pull in any capital that swirls within its accretion disk.

SocSec, Medicare and Medicaid are literally trillions underfunded and starting to run current deficits.

Hoover and FDR Centrally Planning lead to over a decade of misery and poverty.

Centrally planned USSR failed as did Greece and now CA, NY, and IL will join Spain, Italy and Ireland on the downgrade.

Even Germany has started to come to grips with the fact that Centrally Planned Socialist economies do eventually run of of money.

What's it going to take before American realizes this?

Germans contemplate cuts to social welfare system - latimes.com

"Germans contemplate cuts to social welfare system

As Germany plans severe austerity measures, the country's generous welfare system is expected to take a deep hit. Critics say it places an unfair burden on the poor at a time of economic instability."

Do you really believe Michelle Obama is going to give you "Free" Medical care?

Are you really THAT stupid?

American Pravda even see the writing on the wall!

It's even unwinding in the Progressive Mecca of Cuba, where Michael Moore goes when he's sick.

Havana (AP) – At a state project to refurbish a decaying building in Old Havana, one worker paints a wall white while two others watch. A fourth sleeps in a wheelbarrow positioned in a sliver of shade nearby and two more smoke and chat on the curb."

I agree 'off the leash' socialism doesn't work any more than it's rabid counterpart capitalism Frank

So why did we bail out (i.e.- a socialist act of our Federal governance) Wall street again?

seems dollar for dollar, that was the biggest single socialist act in American history

Spark. That's fascism not socialism.
Take from the poor and give to the rich.

We can quibble about what to call it, but that truly is a waste of time.

I think most of us can agree that it's wrong, though, right?

Sooner or later every government -- using whatever economic system you can devise -- becomes a KLEPTOCRACY.
