The Press is working hard to discredit the IG Report

Though cbs did say this-

Justice Department watchdog releases report on origins of Russia investigation

FISA warrant and renewals had "significant inaccuracies and omissions"
Horowitz's team of investigators found "significant inaccuracies and omissions in each of the four applications — seven in the first FISA applications and a total of 17 by the final renewal." As a result of these 17 inaccuracies and omissions, Horowitz wrote that relevant information was not shared with and considered by decisionmakers at the Justice Department and the national security court.

All of the applications also left out information the FBI obtained from another government agency about its previous relationship with Page.

Horowitz concluded that members of the FBI's team investigating ties between Russia and the Trump campaign "failed to meet the basic obligation that the Carter Page FISA applications were "scrupulously accurate."

Additionally, the internal watchdog found "the surveillance of Carter Page continued even as the FBI gathered information that weakened the assessment of probable cause and made the FISA applications less accurate."

Is there any revelation in the report that we on the Right didn't post several years ago?????

Where's the shock?????

The Left has always been wrong, with the same metronomic regularity that they've been liars.

FISA warrant and renewals had "significant inaccuracies and omissions"

That means 17 significant LIES to get permission to spy on their political opponent! That's the real take away so far...but reporters are still combing over every word of it.

This is better (more damning) than I thought it was going to be! Although I had no delusions it was going to make maddow & lemon start magically speaking the truth. So expect the usual from them & CNN.

Standard Stalinist democrat response, "Meh. A Little Fascism never hurt anyone"

Holy crap! Look at what bill barr said (I got from another thread)....

“It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation and surveillance was pushed forward for the duration of the campaign and deep into President Trump’s administration,” Barr said.

The attorney general also said that FBI officials “misled the FISA court, omitted critical exculpatory facts from their filings, and suppressed or ignored information negating the reliability of their principal source” in a “rush” to maintain surveillance warrants on members of the Trump campaign.

Haven't we on the Right been saying that since 2016????

No revelations .....and, sadly, as I've written: no indictments.

Horowitz never had the power to indict...so no surprise there (Durham does). Also there were just 8 indictments of filth funneling illegal campaign contributions to democrats from foreign countries.

But my point is there is a difference between "knowing" something and being able to prove it in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

We "know" obama had to order this because of who was involved...the FBI, CIA, and governments of UK, Australia, italy, and ukraine...there is no way to get that kind of involvement without orders from POTUS (obama).

But it would not be enough to prove it in court. We need more.

"Horowitz never had the power to indict..."

You're looking for a way to excuse his dishonesty.

He said, claimed, that he could find no political bias....when everyone has seen the emails planning the 'insurance' against Trump.

The history of Muellers posse proves it.

"Nine Members Of Mueller’s Team Made Campaign Donations To Democrats

Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein is answering questions in Congress this morning. In the light of the clearly partisan views of Peter Strzok, which Ed wrote about this morning, Republicans are looking to question the partisanship of the team assembled by Special Counsel Mueller to investigate Russian interference in the election. Republican Rep. Steve Chabot spent most of his five minutes running down a list of political donations made by members of Mueller’s team.

“Let me just review a few facts about the supposedly unbiased group of people that Mr. Mueller pulled together,” Chabot began. He continued, “Nine of the 16 have made political contributions. To be fair, let’s just go through them in alphabetical order.

TRENDING:

Report: Omarosa "physically dragged and escorted" off the White House grounds after being fired by John Kelly

“First, Greg Andres gave $1000 dollars to the Democrat running to hold the seat, the Senate seat previously held by Barack Obama. He gave $2600 dollars to Democrat Senator Gillibrand, who just this week led the charge of Democratic Senators demanding that President Trump resign. And, oh yeah, Mr. Andres gave zero to the Trump campaign or to any Republican for that matter.

“Next, again in alphabetical order, Russ Atkinson. He donated to the Clinton campaign last year. Again, zero to the Trump campaign. Third, Kyle Freeny contributed to both Obama campaigns and to Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Zero to the Trump campaign. Next, Andrew Goldstein. He donated $3300 dollars to both Obama campaigns again zero to the Trump campaign.

“Fifth, Elizabeth Freeloader who clerked for a liberal Supreme Court Justices Ginsburg and Kagan, contributed to both the Obama and Clinton campaigns and zero to Trump. Next, James Quarles. He’s contributed to the Democratic presidential campaigns of Dukakis, Kerry, Obama, and Hillary Clinton and Gore as well. He did contribute to former congressman Chaffetz and Senator Allen but he contributed over $20,000 dollars to Democratic House and Senate candidates and again gave zero to Trump.

“Seventh, Jeannie Rhee. She actually represented, as was previously mentioned, Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation in several lawsuits. She’s donated $16,000 dollars to Democrats. Contributed $5,400 dollars to the Clinton campaign and zero to the Trump campaign.

“Eigth, Brandon Van Grack contributed to Act Blue the fundraising outfit organized to elect Democratic congressional candidates, contributed to the Obama presidential campaign and of course gave nothing to Trump. And finally, Andrew Weissmann. He contributed $2,000 to the Democratic National Committee, $2,300 to the Obama campaign, $2,300 to the Clinton campaign and zero to Donald Trump. He’s also the guy who praised the holdover acting attorney general, Susan Yates, for defying President Trump on the travel ban.

“Now, my question to you is how, with a straight face, can you say that this group of Democrat partisans are unbiased and will give President Trump a fair shake?”

After a pause, Rosentein replied, “Congressman I think it’s important to recognize that when we talk about political affiliation—that all demonstrated political affiliation. The issue of bias is something different.” He added, “We recognized we have employees with political opinions and it’s our responsiblity to those opinions do not influence their actions.”

In other words, this is the same response we hear from the editors and executives of liberal news outlets, i.e. sure there are a lot of partisans here but we strive to avoid letting any bias creep into our work. With regard to the news media, we’ve seen how well that works out over the past couple weeks.

Here’s the exchange between Rep. Chabot and Deputy AG Rosenstein:

Rep. Chabot to Deputy AG Rosenstein: Nine members of Mueller's team made campaign donations to Democrats

The report is a whitewash that should have resulted in criminal charges.

And he could have done so.

Except of course the report doesn't say that the FBI misled the FISA court.
The report says that the FBI made mistakes.

And of course the report says that the investigation of the Trump campaign was warranted and legally began.

But congrats on parroting the Right wing talking points trying to spin the IG report into supporting Trump's lies.

I'm not excusing horowitz...his conclusions were dead wrong.

None the less...all the examples of bias and crimes are still in the report.

I am quite enthused about barrs and durhams public response to horowitz' summary! ESPECIALLY with barr using the word "predicate" in yesterdays response. This tells me there WILL be arrests & indictments!

One can only hope....

....but I have always said 'The only places one finds justice are the dictionary and the cemetery.'

Horowitz was a sell-out as far as I am concerned.

Horowitz was a sell-out as far as I am concerned.

I wont argue that. He's either a sellout or he fears for his life.

Think of the massive undertaking here...

President Trump, Bill Barr, and Durham Are going up against the deep state. The people who want to rule the world (not just the USA).

These people want global dominance, open borders, no countries, and to do that they have to take down the USA and get it out of their way.

This is a monumental undertaking!

And remember the old saying...if you're going to take a shot at the king...you had damn well better kill him!

They are taking a shot at the king (deep state).

If Trump, Barr, and Durham don't do everything right...they're going to end up dead!

Remember that next time you get impatient for arrests and indictments to happen.
