An innocent Texas man has been denied compensation following his release after serving 18 years in prison on wrong convictions.

Anthony Graves, who was jailed on wrong convictions, could have received USD 1.4 million in compensation but was found not eligible for it because the words “actual innocence” were not stated in the documents ordering his release.

I'm sure if you could look into his teenage and young adult years you'd be able to find something he did worth sending him away for 18 years.

According to a study done a decade or two ago if all persons were prosecuted for all the crimes they have actually comitted we would spend an average of somehing like 16 years each in jail.
