Some damned elitist, progressive Professor (the kind Palin abhors...educated Profs), and a probable leftist is showing Inherit The Wind in my class.

He is corrupting young minds with the humor of Hollywood and HL Mencken.

    LOL

Great movie. Which version is your prof showing?

I first saw this movie when an english teacher I had in high school showed it in class. It changed me forever.

Old version. I've seen it more than a few times. The class will have to watch the second part next week.

I wonder how many young minds have been corrupted by what Palin mocks...educated Professors?

    LOL

That's what's wrong with our education system today.

Watching old movies in class instead of actually hitting the books.

Movies in class? I guess back after Guttenberg, conservatives were all bent out of shape that books were being introduced in plcae of speechifying and rhetoric.

Funny thing is that class is heavy on the books. But I guess critical thinking can be a challenge for some, eh?

Seriously, I do not see how watching an old movie heightens understanding of a subject. When the lights go out half the kids will fall asleep.
