At the pace the Wind Farms in IL are being built, they will surpass IL goal of 25% of IL energy needs before plan. What IL is doing is building these turbines throughout on farm land with crops all around them.
The farmers love them, since they take up minimal space and each farmer receives a generous "rental fee" for each turbine.
Construction of these turbines also great numerous jobs.

Currently IL gets energy from:
(1) Coal 1%
(2) 48% nuclear
(3) 3% Wind (Keep in mind the Wind Turbines started in 2009 or 2008)
(4) Other - Less than 1%
Now if IL could do this:
(1) Increase nuclear at 50%
(2) Get our cars off of oil and to electric (this is more of a National goal and job)
(3) Hit the goal of 25% Wind energy
(4) Increase Solar to 10%
(5) Increase Biofuels 5%
(6) Then the last 5% could be natural gas and coal
This would make IL energy sufficient and independent! I know I dream (or on the right day smoke) too much!
