It's a pretty simple question, and most people seem to think it's all about Immigration Reform.

However history does not bear that out.

in 1984 Regan got 37% of the Hispanic Vote, then in 86 he Pushed through an Amnesty for 3 Million Illegal Immigrants most of them Hispanic. 2 years later his VP got 30% of the Hispanic Vote.

So clearly the GOP would need to do more than just sign on to Immigration reform to change the Dynamics and gain Hispanic Votes? Any ideas?

We should agree to give the 30 million illegals here amnesty and citizenship with ONE caveat.

You can't vote for 12 years.

Watch how fast THAT becomes a non-starter, it's all about the Democrat vote machine...

Ask Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Susana Martinez.

Seems to me that they won with the traditional messages of fiscal restraint, free enterprise, individual liberties and less gubmint meddling in your life.

You also have to listen to what they didn't say. Things like "self deportation", "electrified fences", "looking illegal laws"...

I do think the conservative message is a strong one, and has broad appeal, when it's on it's on, it's the other messages it's coupled with that hurt.

Note the lack of Social Con Issues.
I also note the lack of fool social lib issues, too....No foolish crap about contraception. "war on mimmin", promises of goodies from the treasury for their votes...

Maybe they're just people who want The Man to leave them the hell alone, too.

I'd just give it some time. The more itme they spend voting for democrats the poorer they will be. They'll see the light of day in about a decade.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform:

1. Complete the Fence;
2. Require registration;
3. Issue conditional visas;
4. Require 10 year history of self support;
5. Grant permanent visas;
6. Deport those with criminal records; and
7. Make return to US after deportation a felony.

When has anyone said anything about "looking illegal laws" other than bedwetting leftists?

The messages that hurt are the ones from the control freak social prigs and neocons....But They hurt people of all ethnicities equally...We already have the Democrat Party to fill that position.

The GOP should do what your MessiahRushie has been doing the last two days, call 75% of Hispanics leeches. If that doesn't get them voting GOP nothing will. :cuckoo:

The GOP should sign on to immigration reform because it’s the pragmatic and sensible thing to do, not as a means to ‘get votes’; the GWB immigration reform proposal contains the best ideas to work with.

Advocating immigration reform will not be a panacea for all the GOP’s problems at the polls, but it would be a first step in the right direction.

Rush is an idiot, and the Spoke Person for the people who have destroyed the GOP as a National election winner. You wont get any argument from me on how ignorant and short Sited that fool is.

He thinks all we need to do is Nominate a far Right Social con and we will win. He thinks that is why the 3 Million Republicans stayed home this time. What he forgets is if we did Nominate a Far Right social Con, we would lose at least 3 Million More Moderate Republican votes by doing so.

The man is an idiot.

Well, a couple million Ron Paul voters stayed home, too....But that would require a little introspection from Limpbagh and we can't have that! :lol:

A self identification process. In exchange for voluntarily identifying oneself as an illegal, said individual receives varying degrees of induction along a lengthy path eventually leading up to full fledged citizenship. Deal breakers include a prior a criminal record in the nation of origin, accumulation of such during or after self identification, or failing to self identify as an illegal after the mandate to do so has expired. During the period of induction to citizenship the individual is vetted via a comprehensive process including extensive psychological testing. The rewards for self identification need to be highly attractive to promote the process, which would hopefully spread quickly through the multitude of immigrant communities.

The GOP needs to keep doing what they do and ignore the Obamination joke on this country. He is only getting elected because the young crowd and black crowd are going out of their way for their black messiah.

Many hispanics share conservative beliefs with family values like conservatives. Some of them have decided to ignore the abortion killing liberals and vote for them so they can get welfare gooides.

Eventually the bad economy is going to blow up in Obamination's face and some hispanics will run to the GOP for a job. Just bide our time and watch them come crawling to us for jobs.
