I don't think one check from the gov't in extreme times like this exemplifies socialism. Socialism is where the gov't sends you a check EVERY month, whether times are tough or not.

It is true that the GOP is not living up to the standards it used to have for fiscal responsibility, I think they will eventually be forced to return to that concept. But as far as I can tell, the Democrats have no standards at all, of any kind. They care more about illegal immigrants who will vote for them more than they do for US citizens.

What socialism? Government isn't running any companies. The government shutdown the economy to save lives. It has nothing to do with socialism. The government took the livelihood of millions American.

The GOP used to claim to be "the party of personal responsibility", and now they refuse to hold Trump accountable for anything.

The GOP used to claim to be "the party of fiscal responsibility" and now they cheer when Trump spends and spends and spends -- since Day One.

As I've been saying, history is replete with individual, damaged men who somehow turn people into something they weren't before. Not a good track record there.

It isn't just Trump, it is both Republicans and Democrats spending to save a nation they shutdown. I have been against Trump and the Republicans spending since the first day, however when cities, county, state and federal governments shutdown all businesses, they the need to be held responsible. I was against Tarp, and bailout and the too big to fail. because a lot of the fault was at the feet of greedy people.

This is much different and it isn't socialism.

If I had a business that went bankrupt because of my inability to run a business, you'd have a point. That is not what happened.
